Sounds like it could be either a severe case of ringworm, maybe the head of a tick got stuck inside after being scratched off, causeing an infection, or it could just be an insect bite. Definitely go see your vet and theyll give you a topical to use for probably about a week and it will clear right up, happens allll the time, theyll probably give you NNT or something. Could be ring worm or lyme disease. Ticks can bite and leave a circular mark from the bite. They carry the lyme disease. The puss or whatever that junk is is probably if it's been picked at. You need to take it to the vet.

sound a little like ringworm , something to do with the hair follicles if it is you know it can be passed to kids (if you have any) from dogs and cats , you need to get antifungal medication and shampoo for the dog be better to take it to the vet to be checked to make sure though
