How would these magazines be rated?
And Why?

This is a family discussion question that we want to get more info on a ratings system.

Does the libray or Walmart have a rating system for the magazines they carry?

1. Complete Woman Magazine
2. Cosmopolitan Magazine
3. Playgirl Magazine
4. Victoria Secrets
5. Vogue Magazine
6. King Magazine
7. Smooth Magazine
8. Maxim Magazine
9. FHM Magazine

Like movie ratings G,PG-13,R,NC-17

Ratings such that the magazine is:
Family friendly

Teenager to Adult friendly

Mature Adult friendly

Pornographic friendly

1 st answer not really what I am looking for...boils down to whatok for the magazine section at Target,etc.

Keep it simple. Do what they do for music. Parental Advisory. Playboy being the exception. It already states that it cannot be sold to minors.

2. Cosmopolitan Magazine - High, good for fashion and trends
3. Playgirl Magazine - High, I like handsome and muscle guys.
4. Victoria Secrets - Good, not very trendy lingerie
5. Vogue Magazine - Good, too many Ads.
6. King Magazine - never see this yet
7. Smooth Magazine - never see this yet.
8. Maxim Magazine - High, informative and I can learn more from there.
9. FHM Magazine - never see this yet.
10. Playboy Magazine - Good. Sometimes good to look at other girls.
11. Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue - Fair. I am not into sports much.
12. Maximum PC Magazine - Fair. I am a computer dummy.
