or assaulting another pupil..... is it fair only 3 pupils should get expelled-when they were all involved....had the other pupils not egged them on- the situation would never of happened....

No, none of them should be expelled - No school is just a bonus to them!
They should be seperated and made to stay in school after hours - that'll teach 'em to not be little bastards!!

If there are 12 kids out to commit the same offence then 12 kids should get the same punishment! I think the only reason that only 3 were expelled, was to gently discard of trouble makers or potential trouble makers, with out the local community noticing-that way the school cant be accused of trying to make space for pupils from out of the catchment area?!
Pupils egging on the kids....depends whether the kid deserved it!!
You know the saying-What goes around, comes around....just wait your time!!!

no it isnt fair! how can they expell 3 out of the 12 kids....what about the ones that have walked off with no punishment? I was always told that whats good 4 one is good 4 another! The school itself sounds pretty screwed up if it can only sort a third of the kids out that were involved....the 3 that got chucked out are probably better off now though, or at least they will be if they are young enough to be placed in a better school!

no they should all have been,but its about the scholls reputation. if they'd expellled 12 pupils, they'd have a lot of explaining to do and they would probably be critised for not dealing with the pupils in a better way in the first place. i got susspended when i went to school, for smoking at lunch time, i wasn't on school grounds and there wer 5 other people there and they only got an hour detention, schools never play fare!!

Egging on is not breaking a law as far as I know.
Bullies should be expelled to a deserted island for life.

If the three were the ones who did the assault, yes it's fair!!!! Kids will be kids, I remember watching other students fighting at my old school, does that make me a co-conspirator?

nope not fair , as the eggers on are just as much to blame as the kids assaulting , they should all get the same punishment

Of course it is not fair.
When are school officials (and the other students!) going to realize that the people who encourage, or simply stand and watch, bullies are AS GUILTY AS THE BULLIES THEMSELVES?
What part of this seems so difficult to understand?
Peer support, and peer pressure (opposition) are critical.
One is either part of the solution, or part of the problem.
