I've often heard it recommended that people get a haircut that compliments their face shape, but I've never been able to figure out what mine is! At the least I'd love someone to tell me the shape, but if you can also recommend lengths/styles/where to part, I'd appreciate that too! Thanks so much!

You have kind of a regular face. It's not round, it's not square. Maybe oval?

In terms of general hair advice, there are a few things that you can do that will make a tremendous difference in how your hair looks.
First, be gentle with your hair, all the time.
Buy a wide-tooth seamless comb (Mason Pearson makes good ones) and use it to detangle.
Never brush wet hair.
If you are currently perming, coloring, blowfrying, and using heat appliances on your hair, stop doing that.
Wash as infrequently as you can get away with doing, using a gentle , sulfate-free shampoo and plenty of conditioner.
Get a satin pillowcase and sleep only on satin pillowcases. That last one will make a huge difference, believe it or not.

I'm attaching some links that may be useful to you. Lastly, if you happen to be in the St. Louis area, send me an email and I'll give you the contact info for my hairdresser. I've been going to him for nearly 25 years; he's that awesome.

Your face looks almost oval, but slightly heart shaped. Don't get bangs that go straight across. Part your hair to the side.

Your face is an oval-heart shape. At least in a computer picture it is. try a mid-length wavy look with layers and/or angles. thicken up!

You have an oval face. I recommend shoulder length (if it's not already short) with longer layers.

layers on the lenth of somewhat below the attention, and different layers too. stable pastime with that hair, its meant to look stable on fuller faces! yet dont be afraid to straighten it to confirm if that would look stable on you.. or make it rather much less wavy, for a various type.. if u straighten it, turn the ends of the layers and of all of ur different hair to coach off the layers.
