Feed him a kibble without corn , wheat, or soy, such as Innova, Canidae, Wellness, Solid gold.
You pay more per bag but less per month, and his coat (and health) will be so much nicer.
Use what is called a hounds glove for grooming. This is a mitten, that really removes dead hair. You can find at any pet supply,

can't change nature on the shedding thing, but, brush daily to remove shedding hair and condition it's hair and help control hair shedding in the house! good luck

codliver oil will make his coat healthy and shine so he should not lose as much hair.put it on hie dog food .most dogs will take it out of a spoon
