No one is truly stupid. There are many people that I don't agree with, and many people who perform certain tasks with less skill than me, but everyone can do something well. Sometimes that "something" is not readily apparent, but it's there.
Ignorance bothers me a lot more than lack of intelligence, because a person chooses to be ignorant, where lower intelligence is genetic issue. I have little patience with those who embrace their lack of education.

Yes. We need a ready supply of politicians and bureaucrats at all times. Think where we'd be without all the stupid people: no celebrities, TV producers, pop song writers, hip-hop 'artists,' TV evangelists, ad agencies ... the list goes on. People who create and maintain this highly complex world and actually make a contribution need people with the attention span of a gnat for comic relief!

It's more important to mock and belittle the stupid - lowering their self-esteem to such a level that they will never seek out a mate - therefore ensuring society that their specific gene pool will never procreate.
