A banana is a fruit. It comes from a bush.

Kingdom: Plantae
Division: Magnoliophyta
Class: Liliopsida
Order: Zingiberales
Family: Musaceae
Genus: Musa
They are similar to Plantains. THey have a yellow thick peel that you do not eat. There are two kinds: Dessert Bananas which are yellow and sweet. Cooking Bananas are usually green. In some developing countries they are major crops. They come in a variety of sizes and colors. They are reproduced asexually.
