i am expected to be at my cousin's house o meet this guy within 1 hour. i don't know if i should go though, my last relationship(4 months ago) was a very abusive 22 year old man and i was 20 now i am 21 and i still don't know how to find a way to trust guys. this guy however, seems really nice and everything, it's just i can't seem to cope. shoudl i just try to forget and start over?my cousin says she has known him for 16 years and he is the nicest guy i will ever meet. if igo look for another question telling what happened.

she says he is a really nice 22 year old named troy if that matters,i have talked to him on the phone, i cryed once because i couldn't stop thinking about my recent abuse. he tried to comfort me and everything and he seems so damn nice i just don't know what to do!

No harm in trying, just remember, you are the boss of you, and hopefully being in an abusive relationship taught you life lessons and to not go for abusive jerks ever!!!! Be yourself, and trust your instincts. You go to your cousins, she's your cousin and so family is very honest to you - hopefully, good luck.

Just go.But be open minded and dont plan on anything.Just go saying your going to enjoy a Friday night out not looking into the future.Then, go from there.Dont be in a hurry getting into a relationship and then maybe it will find you!

sorry to hear about your last relationship. I say go. It might be what you need. You ahve to realize that you are still letting him(old guy) abuse you now if you don't go. You have the power to stand up and move on.

I say it depends on whether or not your trust your cousin's judgement. If you do, then go for it. Not all guys are jerks. I should know......I don't fall into that catagory :)
