The Treaty Of Guadalupe Hidalgo ended the Mexican American War/ The treaty sold to the US new Mexico, Arizona, California, Nevada, Utah, and a part of Colorado. It is still in effect.

We also paid the Mexican government 15 million dollars for all that land which was a huge amount of money back then. And we relieved them of their debt of 3 million to the American people, and made the Mexicans that were here citizens.
