Always remember, slow weight loss is easier to keep off than quick weight loss.
If you're doing cardio, do as much as you can every day. However, you can keep it three days a week as a minimum requirement for yourself.
Personally, I work out 3-4 times a week, but I only do about ten minutes of cardio (I know, that's bad) and an hour a fifty minutes on weights. I lost 12 pounds in three weeks when I first started doing it.
Everyday activities can be exercise too. For example, instead of finding the closest parking space, just find one and walk to the entrance; stairs instead of escalators. Simple things like that can help you a great deal.
Good luck, brother!

The more exercise you can fit in, the better. However, schedule a rest day once a week for your body to recouperate. Try to do many different variations of exercise so one group of muscles are not overworked. Pilates is awesome! Treadmills are too. Keep it up and don't be shy about it. Just don't go overboard and spend every waking hour in the gym. Good luck. Note:low intensity, high endurance exercise (20 minutes or more) is very effective in burning fat, as long as you have eaten no starch or fat in an hour.

nope I dont do pilates, i do body sculpting and i weigh 220 and am 40 years old . the best thing i can tell you is what i do. and that is go to the gym minimum once a day. and work out hard min. 4 times a week. if you want to loose weight dont concentrate so much on the cardio, although that is important. you should be doing alot of reps at a low weight , or a longer time on the cross trainer at a sower pace. this will take the weight off alot faster. also drink alot of water!! sooooo very important. this will not only hydrate you, but it will also kill your appetite and make you metabolism shoot up!! good luck!

Exercising everyday is not a bad thing! I wouldn't recommend going more than an hour a day (only because I think it would be exhausting) but some people work out for 2-3 hours a day every day! I think you are on the right track-just make sure you are staying hydrated and stretching! Good luck!

This is what worked for me. My Dr. recommened The Medifast Diet. It is Soy Protein. It teaches you to eat 5-6 small meals a day every 2-3 hours to speed up your metabolism. You will lose weight quickly with very little exercise. I would continue to walk but more than 3 days a week. I learned to enjoy exercise so I ride the elliptical trainer 6 days a week. I have lost 35 lbs. so far. Feel free to e-mail me if you have any questions. lovejae247@yahoo.com

alternate days on cardio and weight training but don't work out if you are hurting and never work out until it hurts. rather than adding days you can slowly increase the reps you do while working out. because you are so heavy you might want to consider water aerobics or water sports as they are easier on your joints. NEVER RUN OR JOG. walking is just as good if you keep a good pace and is a lot easier on your body. rather than add another day at the gym or on the workout tapes try doing some kind of activity that makes you move around a lot. dancing, walking the dog, take the kids to the park, anything that will keep you busy. don't exercise everyday or you will burn out before the fat does. keep yourself busy and moving and the weight should come off. you might want to consider a support group it is helps to have someone cheering you on and offering advice as you go. GOOD LUCK!!!

You are young and healthy and you can exercise every day!!!
But vary the exercise for the best effect. Your muscles need time to recover. So do say, weights everu other day and arobics in between.
Just keep active - did you know that housework is one of the most effective forms of exercise? So if you clean a house thoroughly twice a week you only have to "exercise" five times!!!
You will be so fit and glowing and your life will take off!!!!

Try exercising for 20min every other day, I would suggest wogging which is just faster then walking but a bit slower then jogging. I can honestly tell you if you do this for 6 months and not cheat you will lose weight.
