ok the other week i was having a discussion with a friend and we got on the subject of the tribulation. we came to a disagreement however on a minor detail and i was just looking for others opinions on the subject. she seemed to think that those who heard the gospel and rejected Jesus before the tribulation would not have another chance to accept Jesus after the rapture, but i was under the impression that after the church was taken out all would have another chance. if you know anything about the subject or have any scripture that would be helpful please let me know. i just want to study deeper into the subject then if someone ever asks me again i will have a correct answer for them. thanks!

Actually, those who are left behind that heard the Gospel of Christ and rejected it, God Himself will send a spirit of strong delusion against them, that they might believe the antichrist (the lie); and be condemned. This is found in 2 Thessalonians 2, verses 7-12.

1 Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and [by] our gathering together unto him, 2 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. 3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for [that day shall not come], except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; 4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God. 5 Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things? 6 And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time. 7 For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth [will let], until he be taken out of the way. 8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: 9 [Even him], whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, 10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. 11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: 12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness. 13 But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth: 14 Whereunto he called you by our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. 15 Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which ye have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle.16 Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God, even our Father, which hath loved us, and hath given [us] everlasting consolation and good hope through grace, 17 Comfort your hearts, and stablish you in every good word and work.

There are two tribulations.

Mar 13:19 For in those days shall be affliction, such as was not from the beginning of the creation which God created unto this time, neither shall be.

affliction G2347 θλίψις thlipsis thlip'-sis
From G2346; pressure (literally or figuratively): - afflicted, (-tion), anguish, burdened, persecution, tribulation, trouble.

Mar 13:24 But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light,

AFTER THAT TRIBULATION

There is the tribulation of Satan which is only tribulation for those who have the seal of God in their forehead, God's elect. Satan's tribulation is peace and prosperity. He will deceive the whole earth.

There is the tribulation of Christ's return.

Mar 13:24 But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light,
Mar 13:25 And the stars of heaven shall fall, and the powers that are in heaven shall be shaken.
Mar 13:26 And then shall they see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory.
Mar 13:27 And then shall he send his angels, and shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the earth to the uttermost part of heaven.

The so-called rapture if you want to call it that is when "ALL" are in there spiritual body and the flesh man age or dispensation is over, at the seventh trump.

The 1000 year reign or millennium will be a time of teaching for those who missed the first resurrection because they did not overcome Satan but were deceived. Their soul remains mortal or liable to die and are considered spiritually dead.

You are right. After the rapture others will have a chance to repent and be saved. Since there will be no Christians left on earth alive after the rapture there will be no preachers. The anti-Christ is going to have anyone killed that preaches Jesus.
It will be a tough time for anyone that wants to convert to Christianity. There will be martyrs for Christ. Read Revelation, Matthew 24, Luke 21, 2Peter, Joel, Ezekiel, Daniel.

Someone already mentioned "He that is unjust, let him be unjust still"

Here is some information on your study on the rapture

What does the Bible say about the Secret Rapture?

“No single verse specifically states Christ will come before the Tribulation.”
Tim LaHaye (author of “Left Behind”)

Where in the Bible does it say 7 yrs of tribulation?
No where

The belief in the Secret Rapture is a dangerous doctrine because it is not Biblical. Please read with an open mind. Nowhere in the scriptures does it make any reference of a “Secret Rapture”. Many people reference I Thessalonians 4 but they don’t actually read the whole chapter read verse 16.

For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a SHOUT, with the VOICE of the archangel, and with the TRUMP of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first.

In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last Trump: for the TRUMPET shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. I Corinthians 15:52

These are some of the nosiest verses in the Bible how can it be a secret?

Where is the scripture that says “7 years of Tribulation”?

It cannot be found, because it is not in the Bible

Did God save Noah from the flood or through it

Did God save Israel from the plagues or through them

Did God save Daniel from the lions den or through it

But doesn’t the Bible say that the day of the Lord comes as a thief in the night?

But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which THE HEAVENS SHALL PASS AWAY with a GREAT NOISE, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be BURNED up. II Peter 3:10

He comes as thief because it catches people by surprise.

What does the Bible say will happen when Jesus comes back

For as lightning that comes from the east is visible even in the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. Matt 24:27

Everyone will see it you can’t miss it

Our God shall come, and shall not keep silent; A fire shall devour before Him, And it shall be very tempestuous all around Him. He shall call to the heavens from above, And to the earth, that He may judge His people: “Gather My saints together to Me, Those who have made a covenant with Me by sacrifice.”
Psalms 50:3

I beheld the earth, and indeed it was without form, and void; And the heavens, they had no light. I beheld the mountains, and indeed they trembled, And all the hills moved back and forth. I beheld, and indeed there was no man, And all the birds of the heavens had fled. I beheld, and indeed the fruitful land was a wilderness, And all its cities were broken down At the presence of the LORD, By His fierce anger. Jeremiah 4:26

And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other. Matthew 24:30,31
since it is a righteous thing with God to repay with tribulation those who trouble you, and to give you who are troubled rest with us when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with His mighty angels, in flaming fire taking vengeance on those who do not know God, and on those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. II Thessalonians 1:6-8

1 angel rolled away the stone and 100 Roman soldiers collapsed in fear like dead men.

1 angel killed almost 200,000 Assyrian soldiers in one night

Jesus is coming with all his angels who will take flaming fire vengeance how can this be a secret?

But doesn’t the Bible say 1 shall be taken and 1 shall be left?

Wherever there is a carcass, there the vultures will gather. Matt 24:28

Two men will be in the field: the one will be taken and the other left.” And they answered and said to Him, “Where, Lord?”
So He said to them, “Wherever the body is, there the eagles will be gathered together.” Luke 17:36, 37

Notice how Jesus answers where the body and the vultures are gathered. The vultures devouring the flesh because those “Left Behind” will be dead.

The secret Rapture was created by a Catholic monk named Ribera. It was supposed to be used in the Counter Reformation, but no one believed it.

There is no Secret Rapture when Jesus comes he comes in glory the world does not go on for 7 years. When Jesus comes probation for sinners is over. We need to be ready now. Life does not continue on Earth after Jesus comes.

As long as you are alive you are getting a chance. After the tribulation starts-if you profess to be a christian you will have to prove it with you head. That sounds familiar doesn't it. You can still be saved during the tribulation but it will probably mean the death penalty.

Well after the rapture, there will be salvation. The thing is that its going to be hard. Its not going to be as easy as it is today. The antichrist is going to make everything possible to ge rid of the jesus christ follower. In the bible it says that there is going to come a disillusion, people are going to believe all the lies that the antichrist will say and sadly some people will still say "NO" to christ.

You are confusing fiction with reality. The Bible is book just like Lord of The Rings or Moby Dick. Stop worrying about this and start paying attention ot what is happening now in your life. Focus on the immediate present.

Once you die you have the same spirit that you had when you were alive. With that said if you die after rejecting Christ here in this life you will not except him later. But when the day of judgment comes all knees will bend and all will admit he was the Redeemer.

Well, after the tribulation, people will have the chance to accept him. However, most people won't be receptive to it. This doesn't mean that the option isn't open to them, if they choose it. It just means that most of them won't.
