There are NO non-shedding dogs. And the low shedding dogs are still able to cause a reaction. It is the dander, not the hair. In Australia, they bred the Labradoodle in the 80's thinking it would be better for blind clients with allergies. They were not very successful and haven't bred more since '96. They found that Labs could just as easily be used. They test hair, skin scrapings and saliva of potential dogs on the person it is to be placed with.
Then if there is a dog that does not cause a reaction, they can match them up.
Do not fall for the new "fad" breeds that "breeders" are claiming are non-shedding, or non-allergenic. I have seen this recently advertised by some Puggle breeders. Now a Pug can cause allergies and sheds....and a Beagle can also. Why bred together would they not??????? You may be able to find a breed that you can live with, but it is really the individual dog that can illicit the response.
I had a PWD for several years, and it may not shed a lot, but it sheds!!!!!!!!!!!! And my husband was allergic to that dog!!!!!!!
They say that poodles and these other dogs ahve hair like people and therefore do not shed......well people shed tons of hairs each day!!!!!!!!!!

Yorkshire Terriers, Poodles of any size, Chinese Creasted(Hairless), and hairless dogs all make good, non-sheding, non-allergic dogs. Most of the wire/curly and human-like coated breeds do not shed. Don't get a long haired dog, or just a dog with short hair an assume it won't shed. Some dogs shed during the summer, too, even if you think it's a non0shedding dog at first. Choose wisely- it saves money, trouble, and stress when you have a dog you know won't be allergy-giving and a dog you know you can keep.

Sure.
Poodles
Portugese Water dogs
Search for hypoallergenic dogs. They are all non shedding, but if your husband is that allergic, you shouldn't get one at all. Although they won't shed or anything, you can still have allergy symptoms. Good luck though!

Poodles are your best bet. they don't shed.. and are real smart and easy to train...
Also maltese dogs (malties)
My niece has asthma and has allergies... She has a poodle/maltie mix and hasn't had any problems in the last two years since she got "Mollie." She lives indoors.

Usually double coat dogs. I am usually allergic, I just wash my dogs more regularly and brush them outside.

Poodles are the best for people with allergies. They are also very good companions and watchdogs. My sis has 3. I live with her so I get to enjoy them too.

Poodles, terriers and schnauzers tend not to shed much. And there are hairless breeds too, but they are more rare and expensive.

Yorkies and Maltese are nonsheding. How old is your daughter, if she is older than 10 those 2 dogs would probably suit her.
