Honda Civic Si

Technically the Civic Si is the winner here. But, like every other answer for every other question, it depends on what you're looking for. The Mini S is comparable on speed and overrall performance and excells in styling based on a broad, retro appeal. The Si has the speed and performance and does well with very modern styling, excelling in reliability and fuel efficiency.

The edge on practicality would be the Civic - like always.
The edge on fun (with cool switches and plenty of interior nuances) would be the mini.

Both hold their value very well - even though the BMW produced Mini lacks the reliability of the Civic.

If I were more well-off I'd choose the Mini - right now I'd choose the Civic Si.

You wouldn't regret either for a fleeting moment.

The new Civic is Motor Trend's car of the year. The Mini Cooper is a chick car. I'd rather drive the Civic.

Cooper S. It will be in style much longer than a civic. And its fun to take on a road course, and think of the cooper clubs. Civics are a dime a dozen. The cooper has a better history than civic.

The Honda...I love Honda's! The 93 Civic saved my life in a bad accident. Plus look at the mini cooper....does it look like it will hold up at all in a crash?

I like the Mini Cooper, but that's a tough choice, if that is the Civic with 260 hp or so. I don't know if the Mini is that fast.
