I don't think she should sue MySpace.Com, I think she and her parents should take responsibility for their own actions. Her parents should have taught her to not give out her personal info and to not meet with a stranger.
Don't get me wrong, I feel for her and I feel for the parents. It's a terrible situation. But it's not MySpace's fault. This kind of thing could happen at any online community. It's up to the individual to take responsibility for their actions. She made a mistake. A very sad mistake. And I am sorry for her.
I can't believe that her rapist also wants to sue MySpace because he said that he wouldn't have met this girl and raped her had it not been for MySpace. Talk about playing the Blame Game! Man!

If she wasnt such a total and complete DUMBASS then maybe none of this would have happened!! No one deserves to get raped.....but people should also have enough common sense to not put themselves into dangerous situations!!
I doubt she will get any money out of her lawsuit! So many people want to target myspace, but that is only because it is the new thing to do! If it wasnt myspace it would be chat rooms or some other site!! LAY OFF MYSPACE ALREADY!! People that are not stupid and have some common sense (like me) enjoy myspace for friends! Use it for friends not trying to find a date!

I've heard about this and think it's ridiculous.
It's her own damn fault for believing he was 16. She shouldn't have been such a moron to meet someone she didn't know anything about online.
And her mother needs a good smack across the face for not monitoring her daughter. She probably passed on the stupid genes to her anyway.
I hope they throw this out of court and laugh at both of them for being morons.
And did you hear that the guy who assaulted her is considering suing MySpace as well? He's saying that she lied and said she was 15.

Yeah, I hope she loses because, like you said she shoulda not gave her name, #'s.Places like that, me being a parent, I dont think those places should even exist. Its home for child molesters, sexual predators looking to meet and have intercourse w/ young girls/boys. I watched a show last week called To Catch A Sexual Predator, and thats where all of the predators met their victims was on MySpace.com. If you have time it comes on saturday @7:00, Some of the things you see on there are really scary. When my daughter is old enough to be on the computer, trust me she will be monitered.

personally i don't have a problem with myspace. i heard about the "issues" some people had with the site, and since my daughter was on there i checked it out myself. my daughter is 16, and if some parents cannot keep up with their kids i don't see any reason to sue a company for what their kids do.
bottom line
pay attention

okay, this whole myspace children thing upsets me.
i dont mean to sound rude or anything, but it is the childs fault that they are running away with these guys. its not myspace's fault.
child's parents should teach them not to give out personal information to strangers. im 18, i have a myspace and yes, guys send me messages asking me for some personal information and im smart enough not to answer them.
i think that its stupid to be suing myspace, because i agree with you that she shouldn't have given her personal information out.
im sick of turning on the news and hearing how bad myspace is. freal, there are so many other websites like myspace, and chat rooms.
this is so stupid.

Yeah, that's ridiculous, does no one, take responsibility for their own actions and stupidity. She was the one, that went out to meet this guy, who is only nineteen, and not some old pervert, we often hear about.
Hadn't she even heard about all those perv stories in the news, and what about her mother, letting her be on there in the first place. No parenting at all, it seems.

It's her fault, no one forced her to do it. There are countless other people that use myspace wisely and there are some that left because they saw stories about myspace on the news. I think she'll lose this case.
