Techincally, yes. Ownership alone can be prosecuted as possession with intent to sell. In itself that is a felony.

However, the spirit of the law recognizes at the time of it's creation it was not illegal and no one would actually use it as a mind altering substance because someone could get mass quantities of cocaine for the same price.

I was actually asked to make an arrest for a similar reason and the DA refused to issue the search warrant to recover the item.

Well yes and no because back than cocaine was not illegal and used like today it was used in soda for a strong flavor and a beer effect but no one really dude but if you sold it today than yes you can because it has cocaine even a small grain of cocaine can get you arrested so whatever you do keep it to yourself if you sell it stay hidden because cops are freaks and will arrest you.

Good question. I guess its possible that they could be charged with selling cocaine, but the person would have a good argument against the charge.

The bottle is probably expired by now. And its not on the label either. I thought the cut off was 1975, the Federal Government was also drinking it.
Cocaine has a numbing sensation, it was also used in dental clinics. Even snake poison, pain relief.

That's a really good question!

I do know that really older bottles of Coke are worth quite a lot... probably more than what little cocaine is in them and truthfully... it's all probably gone stale by now anyway lol!
