No there is no serious damage done to your arm in the long run. When a needle punctures your vein or artery, once it is removed, your veins and arteries will clot immediately unless you are taking aspirin (which is a blood thinner and will delay clotting). If the shot is IM (intramuscular) then the pain will go away as your muscles have been bruised but not seriously damaged. Its nice to get someone who knows how to give shots as lots of nurses do and lot of them do not know how to give shots and draw blood without brusing the patient. Now if you start to develop any strange symptoms that you usually have not had, then I would be cautious and seek medical attention just to make sure you are not getting worse from the vaccine as some people get sicker instead of better from vaccines. But if it's just your arm that hurts, don't worry about it - it will go away.

Most likely you got a tetanus shot. Those ones can hurt for days. I got mine last summer. Ouch!
But, like you, I got a shot on Wednesday and it was for Hep. A prevention. My arm is still tender.
Shots don't do any permanent damage, but they're certainly better than not having them at all, eh?

Of course shots damage your arm ; there is a foriegn object puncturing through your skin and injecting a substance. There is also a posibilty that you are alergic to something in that you came into contact with during the shot process. They also could have possibly punctured through a muscle that had been injured or bruised and not fully healed yet. My friend has a permanent hole in her arm from a shot bcause her skin is tough and it just never grew in.

No. Some shots such as tetanus shots will hurt at the injection site for a few days, but there is no actual harm caused.

I've never heard of long term damage, but it's an injection deep in the muscle, so it can cause injuries to the deep tissues. Most of the time you will experience some soreness, like someone punched you in the arm. So don't worry, you'll be okay. Have a nice trip!

I'd imagine it's very very very rare for them to do permanent damage. They just go in, inject the stuff, and then your body closes the wound back up and that's it. It wouldn't hurt you unless you had blood clotting problems or were allergic to something in the injection.
Sometimes after getting shots I get bruises and once I got a lump under my skin that didn't go away for a few weeks. But don't worry, it's common for it to hurt.

only if you take too many of them! If you take many shots a day, then yes it and contribute to the breakdown of you skin and subcutanious fat cells. But in your case You are actually just experiencing muscle pain caused from displaced tissue. Don't worry this is natural! Just take some ibuorprophen. Feel luck it wasn't a tetneous shot! OUCH!

Like no, they do no longer harm you except some photos provide you a reaction of discomfort which will bypass away. that is in undemanding words component of how the body reacts. The needle is sterilized and is so small that the body right away recovers and mends over evening. The discomfort is brought about through the vaccine itself. you'd be ok and in case you ignore about it, it is going to bypass away speedier. i'm no longer a doctor, yet in case you spot a pink streak going up your arm or the discomfort persist longer than a week, see a doctor. No shots don't damage your arms.
Who ever gave you your shot must have done it wrong or pretty ruff. it will still have the effect it is supposto but it causes bruises wither inside or outside the arm. so it will take the time a reg bruise the go away.

Not usually.I have heard that some of the travel shots can hurt for some time. Why don't you phone the place that gave you the shots and ask them?
