we were fighting about something and i asked her if her mom fit in the bath tub or did she just set on the edge when she took a bath....trying to jist piss her off right, i would never say anything like that to her mom.....so then later that week we were having dinner at her moms house and my girlfriend just blurted out what i had said and wanted her mom to answer me her self....i was embarrssed but her mom was hurt you could tell...what would make her put her mother through that?

Your Mom is obsessed with you being skinny. No, you are nowhere near to being fat at 5'2. You can weigh up to 121 pounds and still be normal, and that is for a small frame. Your mother doesn't know what she is talking about, sorry to say. If you really want an answer, Ask your Doctor. HE will tell you the truth.

You! Secretly, she was still mad at you. I haven't done anything to this degree, but I have been guilty of revealing things after being upset. I guess that its a case of misery loving company. I am not saying that your gf is a miserable person to live with, but if she is still mad at you for something, in one way or another it will come out. I suggest that when you are mad with her from now on, before you say anything, remain quiet. Try to channel something within yourself that can take you to another place and time. Being a woman, I too sometimes fly off the handle with good reason and sometimes no reason at all. Also try to explain in as few words as possible to her mom where you don't feel stupid for her finding out and let her know how you feel.
P.S. Women like that stuff!

Man, that made me laugh out load at work. No not LOL. I hate LOL. Anyway, very funny. This girl sounds pretty stupid or insensitive. Its one thing to say that when your mad and the person isnt there but why hurt her own mom and embarras you. She needs to think first before doing that. Besides. It was funny as hell. I think you should take the other presons advice and give her some flowers and say sorry. Then backhand that girlfriend (not literally) for saying that in front of her. Teach her about not embarrassing people.

well one thing is for certain, she obviously doesn't care about her mothers feelings, so how could she care about yours, so why would you want to be with someone like that.
But then again, you went way over the line here, you should have never said that about ANYBODY, obesity is a disease, it is not something that just happens, or because someone eats too much, it is a disease, and it is not thier fault they have it,
Personally I am not fat, I am 162lbs, but one thing I cannot stand is someone saying something about someone else, when the other person cannot help they way they are, this woman did not ask to be with this way, and I am sure she would give up everything she owns, in order to be considered a normal person, not a fat person, etc, but a normal person, and she should be treated with respect and dignity, just like everyone else.

It sounds like she was trying to get back at you but didn't stop long enough to think how it would hurt her mother.I would rethink dating her if this is her usual pattern,She doesn't seem like that nice of a person if she is willing to hurt and embarrass someone she loves just to get back at someone like that.But still it wasn't a nice thing to say in the first place.If you are going to stay with her watch what you say even in anger so she won't have anything to use against you in the future.

She was trying to get back at you for saying that about her mom but in typical girl not-connecting-her-actions to-any-results fashion, she didn't think about how HER words would effect her mom. She just wasn't thinking far enough ahead. She knew her mom was going to be mad at you but didn't think about how it would HURT her. Don't accept any guilt for this one.
OK, you were wrong for saying something like that in the first place but you never intended her mom to hear it and everybody talks about peoples moms when we are trying to piss them off.
Your girl was being thoughtless and if she'll do something like that to her mom, it's a guarantee that she'll do the same thing to you more than once.
