I am considered very overweight; however, I exercise one hour a day and play tennis 2x a week for three hours (for the past 6 months). Yet, when I am eating anything, people will say "Do you want to go walking after lunch?" And no, I don't advertise to everyone I know about my exercise regime (don't want the haters to hate the player and not the game! LOL)

Opps, I am soo sorry. I guess some people thought I asked this questions because I had a problem with my size or want to change my eating habits. I actually like ME a lot. No changes needed, LOL

Most people are closed-minded fools. Judging the book by it's cover, lately, seems to be the American way.

I understand what you're saying. I have a girlfriend who is a aerobic instructor and she is not little! She teaches, then goes for hikes, then bike rides, she's always going and I mean always! Just so happens that her parents are big people, and this is heredity for her, she still is very fit, the classes can't keep up with her. She's just alittle bigger. The people seem to really like her because she isn't one of those skinny young chicks teaching.
I've known some Olympic skiers, I lived in a ski resort for years, and all of the women are bigger, if you've ever seen them skiing, they are not small women, they are bigger and very strong, they could probably scare the guys in the gym, well actually they do. They are big girls! I'm sure when people see them walking down the street they think things too, and they have no idea that these girls are Olympic skiers, go figure!
Anyway people are going to think what they want to think, and most of the time nothing changes it,so we're happy with how we are, aren't we?

If you are concerned with people thinking your overweight because of that question, then I think your wrong. Nomally people eat lunch with the same person or group of people everyday. So most likely its the same person asking you, maybe its just that their workout schedule includes a walk after lunch everyday and just wanted to invite you cause they like you or don't want you to feel left out. But if thats not the case, then people normally think people are lazy when their overweight because of the fact that their overweight. Most of the time people are overweight from eating to much and not working the calories off that they consumed. So it just adds on to the stomach, arms or where ever else it has to! So think about what your eating and guess how much time you have to spend playing tenis to work the calories off plus some!

Because some people, like the skinny ones that say these things are lucky enough to not have the gene in their family tree that makes it hard to have a slim fiqure. Some people hav eto work very hard just to be in half decent shape. They may work very hard and never be the size they hoped for.It really doesn't matter what people think or say about another person as long as that other person knows thier own facts. People can be mean and that's such a sad part of society but,it's the people that are kind that are really going to be noticed the most in a very possitive way. Just keep up your routine and know in your heart that your a good person and a very hard worker. Keep up the good work!and keep smiling.

I enjoyed the movie, Big Fat Momma, with Martin Lawrence. First, it is mostly not your fault that you need to lose weight. The way that you have been taught to eat is responsible (according to Atlantic Monthly magazine) for making obesity the #1 health problem in the world behind hunger and infectious disease. So you are a victim of this pandemic (epidemic).

You need to learn a whole new way to eat. Below site has that info. Find out the absolute quickest way to lose weight, slow ways to lose weight and how to lose bodyfat, retained water and a 3rd thing. Learn about anti-water which makes water unable to work. Take the time to learn everything on below site. Do this and you can be thin. Do this not and be part of this pandemic.

They are ignorant. In other words, they simply don't know any better. Think of it like that and you won't feel angry with them. There are many reasons a person may be overweight, as you probably well know (medications, food intake, hormones, etc.). If you want to lose weight for your own sake, think about what you can do. But I know how you feel...belieeeeve me! I used to be overweight and nobody ever listened to me if I tried to talk when I was eating. They'd just say "you really need to lose weight." Well I did, but now they want me to gain weight and I still want to lose, so it's a mess. Moral of the story--do what makes you happy b/c you're worth it, girl! :)

I'm in no way trying to insult you personally but you have to keep in mind that most people understand the laws of physics. In the case of someone who is fat (I don't say overweight becuase bodybuilders are considered overweight and they are not fat) the rules still apply.

If you eat less calories than you burn, you will lose fat. If you eat more calories than you burn, you will gain fat. It's really this simple. Don't believe me? look up some pictures of Auschwitz.

So, mentally when someone sees another person who is percieved as fat, it's not that they automatically assume they don't work out, it's that it is evident that they don't have the will power or want to watch what they eat.

Seems that people like to love to look for the worst in other people. I know folks look at people like my ex-wife, who by the way was beyond "obese" as shining examples of "fat people". I know alot of people that can be put in the "obese" catagory that work harder than I do. I think they try to also look at "obese" people as lazy because it justifies their physique and it is the last acceptable prejudice on earth. You can't not like someone for religion, skin color or any other thing, but noone ever said you can't dislike obese people.

Don't waste your energies trying to explain yourself to the ignorant, and just be the best you that you can be. Take a good honest look at yourself, keep doing what you're doing, and love yourself for who you are, not who stupid people think you SHOULD be. You're more than likely a very healthy woman who's surrounded by the judgemental. Forget them!
