In my personal opinion I CANt be a friend of my ex, we are not enemies either but just indiferent. For me is difficult to dissociate or separate someone I used to love then turn that love into another degree like friendship, I cant forget good and bad moments and friendship makes everything worst in my opinnion, there is a time where as a friend that person is telling you about the past when you felt in love with her or him, all roles are mixed up.
Of course thats not a law or a rule, could be different, but again, thats in my situation. My ex will remain my ex forever......

OH NO!! It is a VERY hard thing to do. One if best friends was my high school sweetheart. But it just wasn't right for us to date. We love each other, but not in that way. It really depends how much effort you want to put into this. It is a VERY emotional and hard thing to do. It was such a hard thing to get use to. And it for sure may take quite a bit of time. The "feelings" will always be there and it may hurt to see him have a new g/f, same for him when u get a new b/f. Try it. If it is worth it you will know. Best of luck!

It prevectly fine to stay friends with an ex i still do it and we might even get back together and haveing friends of a kinds is great and if you feel uncomftorble then don't do it.

that depends on how strong a person u are...can u deal with seeing them with someone new?? are u just staying friends to see if u can get another shot?? will it hinder u in finding someone new and moving on?? I just had to ask myself those questions cuz i have been heartbroken that my b/f went back to his x g/f......so i guess u need to deside for urself..hope i helped u

If you like him/her, be his/her friend. If you don't, don't. It isn't any more complicated than that. You don't have to stop talking to someone just cos you've shagged them FFS!
