True Christians are very peace loving and simply want others to know the love of Christ. Radical muslims blow up women and children, I don't see your questions to them. I don't see you pick apart any other religion except Christianity. I always hear about all the horrible things that so-called Christians have done in history. Yet in all of these rants, has it been considered, if atheism is so good why did Josef Stalin (an Athiest) murder millions of people?

Atheists feel threatened by Christianity so they pick it apart to feel more secure.

John 3:19-21
This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what he has done has been done through God.

Matthew 5:11-12
Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you

You are going to find zealots in all religions. You are going to find mass murders, child molestors, murders, etc in all religions. People have a way of forcing religion on other people, with all due respect Christianity is the number one, in my experience, religion that is guilty of that. When I was in college it was all some form of Christianity that was giving me fliers, pushing bibles into my hands, or in the most extreme cases staning in the middle of campus and yelling at everyone as they went by. I can't speak for everyone but I have never had a buddist, Islamic, muslim, wiccan, or any other religion be that forceful on pushing their religion. I am not athiest. I am a non practicing catholic technically. I believe in god I just haven't found the religion that matches my beliefs

I have no problems with anyone or their religion. But don't force your religion on me I will find my own way. You worry about athiests picking on Christians when you just did the same to muslims. Not all muslims blow up women and children. Once we all realize that people have the power to choose their own religion and no one religion is better than the other than people won't pick on each others religion. But everyone is so worried about promoting the "right" religion they lose sight of why you practice your religion.

I don't necessarily pick on Christians but I find it just as offensive being an Athiest to have it pushed upon me that God is everything. I don't understand the Bible and I don't understand why people answer everything using God to back them up.
I am a decent person with my own morals and beliefs. It upsets me when people say things like I won't go to heaven if I don't believe etc. To be honest, I will be dead! As far as I can see, once you are gone you are gone! My memory lives on but not my soul.

There are many things about Christianity that I find hard to understand but that doesn't make me a bad person. I ask a lot of questions and ask for proof that such a being as God exists but as yet nobody has given me a satisfactory explanation. If that makes it appear like I am picking on them then I apologise, in the same way they should apologise to me for preaching to me all the time!

I don't think any one can make generalized questions about athiests or christians or anyone for that matter. People are people no matter the religious views, and I would say most people feel picked on one way or another. Christians do not have the corner stone on peace and love and muslims do not have the corner stone and radical actions. Blanket statements really hurt everyone.

Probably because Christianity was the dominant religion in the founding of the US. It has been dominant in Europe for a long time, too. Most of the social mores of the US are basically founded in Christianity. The basics of the American legal system are out of the Ten Commandments. For 2000 years Christianity has said that some human social practices are wrong. (Fornication, adultery, homosexuality, drinking alcohol, doing drugs, etc) In order to be free of these seeming constraints, atheists deny God and sometimes lash out at Christians. Christianity is all around in the US. Atheists probably resent all of this.

Why did Hitler (a Catholic, which is a branch of Christianity) kill millions of people? You say Stalin killed millions of people, noting that he was atheist, but don't forget, he was a Communist as well. It's stupid to talk about the murders committed by other religions, because Christianity far outweighs their murders. And I really hate people throwing around that whole "True Christians" bullshit. If you want to be like that then I'll just say that "True Atheist" don't kill, so Stalin wasn't a true atheist.

I think Christians are picked on because they are always trying to push their religion on others. and because it is the most known religion. and I don't think being an athiest had anything to do with Stalin killing a bunch of people. That wasn't the best question in the world because lots and lots of "Christians" have killed lots and lots of people...look at the people in wars who have killed people without even thinking about it...like Stalin...but who claimed to be a Christian. I don't think it matters what religion you claim to be...you can just be a bad person but still believe in God or not.

They envy our belief and loyalty to one God as well as the Christian faith and way of life. Athiests want us to stop spreading the word of God so more people in the world would be Athiests. They don't have any proof that no God exists, yet Scientists have proven certain instances in the Bible to be true, etc. Athiests may have grown up believing in nothing and haven't really heard or learned about the Christian faith so all the blame shouldn't go on them. I also agree with the girl above me that has no name.

As to your point about Stalin, you might as well say "why did Josef Stalin (a moustache-wearer) murder millions of people?". Was it because of his moustache? Stalin didn't murder people because of a disbelief in gods, he murdered people because of his political ambitions. Stalin's atrocities are a condemnation of totalitarian rule and limitless personal power, not of atheism. Hitler, on the other hand, attempted the genocide of Jews specifically and explicitly because of his Christian faith - He thought he was carrying out his god's will.

It remains a fact that the most peaceful and civilised countries on the planet also tend to be the least religious, and that much of the conflict, persecution and hatred that occurs in the world is the direct result of religious beliefs and religious differences.

Atheists have nothing to believe in and no leg to stand on. So they pick on Christians to feel better. The more they cut down other people the more they think they look better, when in reality they realize they aren't going anywhere because they don't believe they have any place to go and that scares the living crap out of them.
