can't believe some of these answers....Ninja is about the only place worth consideration. stay away from places like Time's Square and Little Italy for food...both overpriced and of poor quality (tourist traps). Plenty of good spots in Chinatown (I'd recommend Yeah Shanghai Deluxe...amazing, authentic and inexpensive), but my all-time favorite is Las Ramblas. Fun eating, very unique atmosphere and very reasonably priced food. Check out their URL:

Canarion is correct. Red Lobster, Olive Garden -- why would you go to a chain restaurant when you are in NYC which has hundreds of great, authentic restaurants! Since I have no idea what you mean by fun I hesitate to answer...

Go to Ninja, it is really fun. It is a japanese theme resaurant, with live karate chopin Ninja's jumping out from corners, you eat in the side of a cave. It is a good experience.
