Maybe to keep the reptitiveness of the letter. Maybe if you name the third child with a D name too, it wouldn't feel so left out from it's older siblings. I've heard of that happening, children feeling left out because thier name didn't start with the same letter as thier brothers/sister's name. For names, there are tons of D names on www.babynames.com they give the meaning & orgins of each name.

I think it takes away from the child to be named with the same beginning letter as your siblings but you've done that with two already. So...do you want to make the third different in a good way by naming with a different letter or in a bad way by naming with a different letter?

absolutely not. It's just too cutesy. If you really love the letter D, why not give the 3rd child a middle name w/ D?

I personally wouldn't. It drives me nuts when people do that. Or, when they have twins and give them rhyming names. A friend of mine and her husband both have names that start with J, and they named both of their kids J names. It's annoying to me, but that's just my opinion.

I sure would. My children all begin with the letter A . It is more fun to watch people try to figure out which is which, lol.
