Anything that makes you move. As the other said above, running, walking does the same thing when you walk fast, and go for 30 minutes to start. Swimming, biking (with hills) or stationary bike, things that make you work! You can also order things online like kickboxing or tae bo. When you do something you enjoy, it's easier to stick with it and do it more often.
Also watching what you eat-cutting back on your portions, especially at nite, your biggest meals should be breakfast and lunch and dinner should be the lightest meal. Limit these things to once a week: cheese, sodas, sugary treats, fast foods, fried foods. Subway is excellent for lunches or dinners. Hope this helps you some, guys seem to lose weight faster than we gals, because of the muscle mass,so you'll be fine. 5 lbs is alot to lose in one week tho, why the hurry? lol

any hjgh impacts aerobic exercise. Try taebo, step aerobics. My favorite is swimming laps because it is so good for your heart, it is no high impact therefor there is no stress on the joints, it works all the muscle groups, and the water provides resistance so you strengthen your muscles. Remeber some things though. Don't eat before swimming! Bring along something likeGatorade to replenish fluids and electrolyte! Also important to remember that any exercise may make you gain weight! Not to worry you are still losing fat and clothes size; you are simplygaining muscle mass wich weighs more than fat mass. The best news is that the more muscle you have, the higher your matabolism gets and the faster you lose fat. Do not over do your work out; a little a few times a day will go a long way! If you insist on doing a long work out, insist on doing it three times a week. Exercise early in your day to get the matabolism up for the rest of the day. Above all have fun!

I'd like to take a stab at this. I'm an ACE certified personal trainer and lifestyle/weight management counselor. From a professional standpoint, you can lose 5 lbs. in a week, but it won't be 5 lbs. of fat. It takes 3500 calories to make a pound of fat. To lose a pound, you must burn off that same number of calories. Exercise is helpful because it speeds your metabolism. The key is that your heart must be working much harder than usual and that you must be sweating and breathing hard to burn calories, whether it's doing tao-bo or walking. High impact cardio doesn't necessarily burn more calories than low-impact, it just does more damage to your joints. If you NEED to lose 5 lbs. this week, the best thing you can do it cut ALL salt out of your diet and get lots of fiber and potassium from fruits, veggies and fruit juices to get rid of the extra water your body holds. Take an honest look at your diet, and limit yourself to no more than 1500 calories per day. If it's an emergency, The "South Beach Diet" phase one will work well for you. Good luck!

Spinning class at your local gym. Don't go for high-speed anaerobic sprints, go instead for high-resistance, somewhat slower but sustained (8-12 minute) intervals during course of a 45-60 minute class. Do it every day, WHILE ALSO WATCHING WHAT YOU EAT.

I think this would work for a week (not more than that, though).

Jumping rope and you will loose more than five (5) pounds in a week! But you must be consistent!

Crunches, Crunches, Crunches. Drink Lot and Lots of water. The less water retained in your body, the less you weigh.....My brother was a wrestler. Good Luck!!!!
