I have personally witnessed roll-overs, rear end accidents, cars pulling next to other cars to force them over, sideswipes, and many fatalities. Don't get me started on the cell phone yappers!

The classic "bad" and in a hurry driver believes that they are more important than anyone around them, and that they have the right to drive as they see fit (freedom born of ignorance.)

Being a police officer, I take great pleasure in giving these wonderful people tickets for reckless operation, usually in conjunction with failure to signal (a lane change) excessive speed (if my radar is operational at the time) as well as any and all other citations such as expired tags and insurance I can find.

As a bonus, if I find a minor in the vehicle (or can prove they did something idiotic to a car with one inside) I add the "reckless endangerment of a minor" charge on, which has a mandatory 6 month jail sentence attached to it here in Louisiana, no suspended sentences, no fines to avoid the charge if it stands... just 6 months in a local jail.

Yes, sometimes I love being a police officer.

But back to your question - people forget that they must obey laws, which were put on the books for a reason. Most are not willing to accept the consequences of their actions in any case, and eventually lose either their right to drive (which many ignore) or their life.

begs the question "why do slow drivers endanger other drivers lives?" Some drive wayyyy under the speed limit at ALL times creating tailbacks and infuriating others. The danger is getting so frustrated that drivers take risks to get past them. Fast drivers? well most seem to be boy racers.
