It's faster and easier. That and my math has gone downhill since I graduated 7 years ago.

An easy way to get answers. Calculators are not always right. For instance when we go shopping to the grocery store or to fast food restaurants we have to recheck the total ourselves. If we do not recheck things we sometimes end of paying more than we should, which is why we should not rely on a calculator to always be correct. Noting is ever right all the time. Depending on man made machines is not something we should ever be dependant upon. What happens when that devise breaks down. If we do not know simple mathematics we are bound to be taken for a ride. Thats why they teach us math in school in the beginning to not depend on these things in life.

Why do people use cars? Why do people use washers and dryers?
The fact is it makesour life easier, and since the world works off of speed, it requires the use of tools.. the calculator is the tool.

seriously, because its easier, but a calculator is only as smart as it user. Manual error returns faulty results.
1 + 1 = 2, right?
Not when you press "1 - 1", or "1 + 2" or "11", or whatever.
