Does anyone out there have a new 2006 Ford F-150 that has a problem with their a/c? I have had mine about 4 months and that damn a/c just does not get very cold. I have heard some other people complain, but every other one I have been in works great. If I do not have mine blowing full blast on Max a/c right into me it is hot in the truck and it does nothing to cool off the rest of the cab.

All I wanted to know was if anyone else is having this problem. I have already taken it to the dealer and they claim nothing is wrong with it even though the best temp coming out on Max a/c is 60 degrees and the interior of the cab never actually cools off. I have already filed a complaint directly with Ford and I will be speaking with them more. As for "bigrob", what the hell do I care if Ford supports gay marriage? Keep your homophobic websites and opinions to yourself.

possible blend air door not closing all the way f150s seem to have had these problems for several years get your warrenty to fix and use a good dealer to do the job [dash will have to come out completly] for access. good luck and i hope nothing rattles when done.

I agree with the others, Run on Max a/c to get it cooled and then you can switch as every other position pulls the air from outside but on max a/c you are recooling the same air till it gets colder.

Ford's warranty on the a/c is 3 year 36k miles in the states. 3 year 60k km in canada

The way Ford and others check for temperature is to put it on max a/c and max fan. it should be roughly 45 degrees F coming out of the vents as measured from the vents.

All makers (chevrolet , Ford , others) use roughly the same guidelines.... A lot of newer trucks have more to heat up now and that's why it seems like it takes more time.

It must be a dark colored truck, dark colors absorbs the heat worse than most colors ,, It being a 2006 surely it is still under warranty,, warranty on new fords, on the a/c is 12 months regardless of mileage , I would take it back to you dealer right away !!! And after you have been driving for a while does it ever get cold ???

sounds like your going to have a hot summer air conditioning is a reall simple setup i do believe that the dealership couldnt help you but if they see that it is putting out 60 dgree than i would believe that there is a bad bled door pproblem usually i see a problem around the heater hoses there is a vacumed control valve hooked to the heater hosesby the fire wall when you turn the ac on it will cut the water supply off to the heater core for the for the ac to get its the blower system i have found that those valves usually break open and or closed and that there is heat going at the same time there is ac but during these hott months the heat would superside the ac so check those heater cor hoses and see if the valve is operating if still at a lost disconect the heater hose temp. and see if you getting anything else good luck

When the a/c is on normal, you are pulling hot air outside, and the a/c is trying to cool it. When you put it on max, the a/c recirculates the cool air inside the truck and it gets colder. Always run a/c on max.

Talk to the dealer about any SSM or TSB on the truck for that problem. SSM is Speical Service Messages, and TSB is Technial Service Bullitans.
