i do, but now that i'm older i watch cartoons, especially the ones i grew up watching, objectively. because, if you look closely, you can see the agendas of the animators, directors, producers, etc. take for example the tom and Jerry cartoons. ever notice how they changed the voice of the black woman character that appeared in a few of the cartoons? before, she sounded like the Mammy caricature portrayed in minstrel shows back in the day; when it was still cool to openly knock people of the Black race. now, she sounds more dignified and articulates her words. i found that to be funny. as a child, you don't think about that stuff, you just think its funny when tom gets his head cut off.
i really like the fact that the Simpson's parodied tom and Jerry by coming up with itchy and scratchy. it really showed how we glorify violence by thinking of it as funny when that head gets chopped off. but, instead of trying to make something that's R as PG as it can be, like the people at MGM did by leaving the severed member blank and hollow (like cats are really look like that on the inside), Fox showed the intrails and gushed blood when that cat got dismembered. and what did Bart and Lisa do? laugh hysterically at the satire. that's not far from the truth we call reality... but i still like cartoons, just with a different perspective.

Philosophers and students of life.
Cartoons are the last great bastion of philosophy.
They also teach us what funny is. Wy does the rock hang up in the air long enough for the coyote to recognize he is going to be crushed by it? It is funny to suspend reality and ask what if?
It is also easier to fantasize when every thing is an illusion so stories can go whereever the author wants to take them.

True who doesnt? lol it might be ridiculous to watch kindergarden stuff like dora the explorer and little bill, but i love spongebob, fairly odd parents, kids next door...all sorts of things and a few adult cartoons (family guy sometimes and southpark, BOONDOCKS IT SO FUNNY! And drawn together...etc but one cartoon i hate is simpsons)

I watch Futurama and Family Guy regularly and find them hilarious!----and I'm 69 years old!
