I do believe in past life, because in some sort of way we are recreated. Look at the butterfly, it's a creation from a caterpillar. I mean yea, they are in the same lifetime but it's the nature's law that everything evolves and becomes something else at one point or another. I don't know if this makes sense but life and spirits are believed in all religion besides aethism. Every religion believes in spirit, therefore where are the spirits bound? They are recreated into another source of the living, and that's the energy created, and formed into the word "karma." LOL

The reason I know this is so, is because I've experienced a past life. Ok I am not some weirdo who's into mumbo jumbo and crap I'm a person that looks at all aspects of religion. I mean every religion and why they believe what they believe, and I take from each that I know is right inside my heart and live it out. I fell asleep one night and it was strange because I wasn't tired at all and for some reason I was falling in and out of sleep as if I was waking up somewhere else each time for the whole night. I dreamt I was in thailand, and I was a princess (weird huh) but ok back to the point of this question. I had the "vision" I was a princess and I was in the garden playing around. And I accidentally scratched myself on a stump. I woke up the next morning with a scratch on my back, and a piece of splinter in my skin as if I really got struck by wood. If you're wondering I probably was sleep walking, well no, because my ex-boyfriend stayed up the whole night with his friends in the living room and checked on me frequently and I never left my bedroom. This type of dream recurred off and on for about a month; me waking up each morning with bruises and cuts. Strange thing was, when I asked my mom about the incident. She showed me a pictured of my great great great aunt who's mother was married to the king of a small village in siam at the time. I was my great great great aunt.
So yea, I believe in past life. I hope this help. LOL

I've no strong ideas about a past life but this-

I started learning German at secondary school when I was 11 years old. I felt like I had learned it before. And 14 years later I'm still convinced I learned it before!

I'm fairly sure I was English in a past life, and that I learnt German as a second language - or was linked with Germany in some way. Perhaps in the 19th Century, or early 20th Century.

So, what's that all about...?

I wonder how many people who believe in past lives think they were Joan of Arc, or Anne Bolin, Albert Schweitzer? It always seems to be somebody famous. In which case it would seem very unlikely that the past life theory is factual.

It has been said by C.S. Lewis that Satan's greatest ploy is to keep man either living in the past or worried about the future. Satan doesn't want man to live in the present, where life happens. So, I think rather than fantasizing about who you could have been in the past, rejoice in the present and live life to the fullest.

I know this will porbably sound really loony but i believe past experiences of things get transmitted through genes. I really do think they carry a gene for memories and experience. Im no scientiest, but how else are we so visually aware of the past, without photography and pasted on stories.. are visualisation must be inspired from somewhere.

yes,

every sconce i was young ( 3 or younger ) i have been called psychic.
this is something i always thought all people had, and never bothered to wonder why.
as a Canadian American Indian,
when i had experienced in a trance a "vision" of a holy ceremony with in the Indian culture, i thought i cracked.
that was until i met up with a person who could explain what i had "seen"
it was a ceremonial passing from one holy man to the next chosen in line to continue.
( in that vision, a person youth full ( 20-25) who had been sheltered to the evils of life, but tempered through his trials, was seated in a shelter. at the proper moment the medicine man went in and unveiled his head, lead him out and passed to him the staff of blessings. ( blessings is the only word i have to explain what i heard to type. )
at that point, the vision shifted, dancers disappeared only to focus upon a hawk. screaming above as it flew over me.
please realize, this only explained a question i had.
i'm still me,

Many people I know say they have had visions of past lives while they were in a deep meditative state.

My boyfriend's father saw himself as a fisherman in an earlier century.
