OK Half his age of 36 to get 18 and add seven years to the 18 to get 25. 25 is less than 26 by just but still less so I would say...

Nope not a bad age gap. This model of dividing the oldest by half and adding seven is a general model for wondering if the age gap becomes a factor.

It's not about what others think its about what you think about the situation. Do you feel he's too old for you? Why are you with him? Do you think he really likes you? Is the age difference a problem for you?

Also who says what a "big age gap" is, I mean is 4 years too many or 8 or 18 or 40 whats too many years seriously there's no rule that says you must stay within this age gap. You should ask your friend "Why is he too old for me?" and see what she says I bet she doesn't even have a valid reason.

Look, I'm 21 going out with a 38 year old now that's a big age gap. Who cares? That's your business. If you really like the guy don't let what anyone says bother you. So, no he is'nt to old for you. If you really like him then you can build on that , and have a wonderful future together. For instance, we're having a baby, and he is wonderful with my other 2 children, and he's very good to me. I've never been happier.

No, 26 -36 is nothing.... I am 25 dates with serious relation ships 2 guys that are 39. and It was very serious. I assume that after the age of 24, the age don't play any role anymore, its all the same.

Look at it this way: I was told once that the perfect age of a girl for a guy is half the age of the guy (18, here) plus 7 years. That's 25. You're pretty much in the ballpark.

Look at it this way also: He's more mature and wiser than some of the BS boyfriends you or your peers keep breaking up with.

Enjoy yourself.

At your age, it's not a big deal. The only concern might be that you are at different stages in your life. Do you want to still go out and have fun while he's concentrating on work? Is he thinking of marriage and kids while your biological clock is nowhere near ticking? If you like him and you have things in common, I don't think it's a bad thing.

If you love him and he really loves you, it doesnt matter. You have to know what matters to you most. What your friends think, will your boyfriends goals, and you goals, someday clash leading you guys to go two separate ways? Are the wants and needs the same?. Dont focus so much on what your friends want or think, you figure out what you want, this is your life not theirs. If anything, they should be happy if you are happy with him. Im younger then you actually, im 18....anddd my boyfriend is 28, but its actually been the best relationship Ive ever been in besides our issues, but every relationship comes with that. Just ask youself,....do I really like this dude? Other then that...as 4 me, i dont think it is, you both are grown adults.

I honestly feel that once you are not considered a minor, love has no age too young or too old. If you love this man with all of your heart and soul, no one should be able to tell you that his age is a problem in your relationship. Does the fact that he is older intimidate you? If so, talk to him and let him know how you are feeling. The best thing to do is let your friends know that you appreciate their concern, but you will continue to date him and you are satisfied with your relationship.

No way he is not too old for you!! As long as you two have a good connection, who the hell cares about age!! I'm 22 and my man is 30. I never even think about the age differance when I'm with him...well except when he threw out his back when we were in the middle of having sex!! LOL

If you were 16 and he was 26, then it would matter. But once you're both adults, age really doesn't mean anything. My parents are 8 years apart and they were married when my mom was 23. So just go for it if you have feelings for him!
