The problem with Mexico is how much they waste their resources. The contractors that pave the roads will use the cheapest materials and inexperienced labor but charge the government extremely high prices. The government officials accept this because they get a big bribe from contractors. The corruption is what is keeping the people poor in Mexico, there are warehouses full of food spoiling at this very minute, bought by the party candidates to buy votes, but since a new law of the Federal Electorate Institute forbides to use food for votes, its all wasting away. I read Spanish Internet newspapers to get info, so that is where my sources come from. Just to open a private business in Mexico, involves bribes so unbelievable that only the the wealthy can afford. The people are fleeing from poverty, its hard to fight against a government so corrupt within. Recently, Flower vendors that stood up against the government were arrested, severely beaten and killed. Mexico is rich for the rich, and only poverty awaits for the poor and underprivileged. Fox's wife, instead of purchasing towels for 400 dlls each for her personal use, costing the the taxpayer, should invest in buying wheelchairs for her people. All her and Fox's clothing is payed by the taxpayer purchased in NY or France. And the woman never wears a dress twice. She put her hand me downs on auction, and not even the elite women bought them, appalled by the asking price. All this is what makes Mexico a Third World country despite it's wealth.

Illegals say it is because the president of their country, and government won't help the poor. Just like the American government does to it's poor, so I am not buying that bridge either.
I have been to Mexico and the small cities developing around Mexico City, and the millions of jobs that are availbe to the Mexican working people astounded me. However, as I discovered I as an American can work in their country but I would have to pay three times the taxes of the Mexican citizens, and I had to work for about two dollars an hour less. I could not own any property. I could rent land, and build a house, but if the citizens found it to be distastefull, I would have to tare it down. If the industry side of Mexico wants to build a store right there where I built my house, my house would be torn down, and no money would be paid to me for my loss. Now, the Mexicans that own land in Mexico will rent to you for a very high price, as long as you are willing to comply. They will sell you food for an exceptionally higher price than the citizens pay. So where is it that the government of Mexico is keeping the people poor? Out in the back woods? My advice to them is move closer the the cities, they have plenty of work, at considerably higher than they are willing to wages Americans.

Mexico is home to more billionaires per capita then any nation on earth. A cabal of 25-30 powerful families own and control the resources of this nation that shares something like 20% of the north american continent with us. So while you have the super rich hogging all the wealth you have the masses of people too impovershed to ever raise up to that level. This is currently being set up in the US with the middle class being strangled out of existencewhile the rich keep sucking us dry.

Can you please quote your sources? I have never heard or read that. All their wealthy resources lines the pocket of their corrupt government. Mexico has virtually no middle class. There is the wealthy and the poor.
When I was visiting Mexico City in April, there were a lot of million dollar homes neighborhoods and many many poor neighborhoods, but really no middle class.
Things are slowly changing over there to establish a middle class. For example, they now provide credit to purchase a car, before if you wanted wheels, you would have to pay cash. Who has cash to buy a car? Consequently, I saw a lot of new cars on the streets, of course this helps middle and lower classes with their transportation needs and to better their lives.

Invasion? that's a strong term to be used in relation to a human being don't you think? keep in mind what you just typed, "Mexico is the 3rd richest THIRD WORLD country"...it's still a third world country, homeboy where poverty and disease are rampant...maybe you should stop blaming the immigrants looking for a better life in the great land of the U.S. and start blaming our government for allowing it to get this bad...i am not against people coming here in hopes of a better life, but overpopulating is bad anywhere you go. The Government needs to stop worrying about other countries problems and start worrying about our own. growing poverty. the rapid disappearance of the middle class, i.e., the rich getting richer while the blue collar worker continues to barely make ends meet. seems in general on this yahoo stuff, if you're not white, you're not wanted here in this country. how sad for this great nation to become so divided on race, religion, etc.

puh-lease. Mexico has the worst economy ever. the rich get richer, and the poor people who work on farms get poorer. so the really poor people need help. Mexico doesn't have labor unions like the USA does, and so when they come here, they enjoy citizenship, work benifits, retirement, Social Security, health care, the list is endless.
And btw, Mexico is not going to take over our country from within. If anyone is going to do that, it will probably be racist Republicans like yourself.

it is their problem but we are getting the blame and having to pay for them and mexico's corruption hardly fair and they are so ungreatful i send them back and mexico needs to be brought up on charges for doing this to their people and us!
Mexico is NOT a poor country. It has the fifth richest economy in the world, and by sending its teeming masses to our country, that status keeps on rising. Mexico has more resources per square mile than the U.S. and plenty of money to take care of its own people. Why should the taxpayers of this country subsidize Mexico's corruption?

Many countries have people who are starving and poor but they have riches in terms of money and natural resources. For Mexico it's the corruption in the government. The money doesn't get down to the people. Lack of education is the key. The politicians have to keep the people uneducated in order to stay in power.

First of all don't believe what you are told in the major media (statistics without qualification are merely propaganda) and secondly, a country that has sent 28% of its workforce to the USA to be able to retrieve their pay checks by way of First Data (WUI) wire transfer, in which the Mexican oligarchs have proprietary interest, thereby not only get the benefits of cashflow without having to bear the social costs, but are provided a social safety net release of value (paid by U.S. Citizens) are therefore kept in power at the expense of the US Sheople.
That is until we are able to convince the 28% to buy weapons and return to over throw the Latifundist bums.

No, they are the 13th richest, I guess it's a typo. I saw it on CIA World Factbook.
They solve their social problems by sending them up here. They have to organize there - the last two Presidential elections were won by 30% voting for Fox by only a 22% turnout!
They are here to raise the southern border - no other reason.
