because most really hot women KNOW they are hot. they know how to use this to their advantage and they know they what they can get away with when using the "I'm cute" or "I'm hot" card.
some women use it as kind of a crutch to tell the truth. seriously.
think high school. most kids tend to develop some survival mechanism when in high school. most "hot" people used their looks to get by, the other not so hot people had to develop a personality to attract people. some of these "personality people blossomed later on and tend to be the cool good looking people you meet (since they still use their personality instead of their looks to get by).
now this is not saying that all good looking people are stuck up or snobby... there are exceptions to the rule and if you consider how many people go through this I'm sure the exceptions are many, but at the same time I'm sure it holds true for many people.
this is the closest explanation that i can come up with.

the really hot stuck up women that you are talking about are usually insecure so they feel like they have to bitchy or stuck up to others, to make themselves feel better.
not all of us "hot women" are stuck up. there's nothing wrong with a women knowing she's hot but it all about the way she carries herself. if her attitude is ugly, you probably don't want to waste your time on her anyway. good luck and happy hunting
