It is bad. If violence was the answer, wars would solve something other than a population increase.
The best way is to talk out your problems, failing that ignore the fool or stick out your tongue at them.

Yes. There is no reason to beat someone up for something they said to you. If it was child abuse wouldn't be illegal.
