The purpose of human beings is to live fully and full of creative energy, as co-creators with God. To that end, we are artists of our lives, becoming one part in the long story of human endeavor on earth. Each of us contributes, or has the opportunity to contribute to the greater good if we choose. This may not mean that we discover a cure or invent a new wonder, but that we live our lives with goodness, kindess, care for others and our planet, and contribute some of who we are, unique and individual, into the energies of the cosmos.

in my opinon i think that the purpose of man is to determine what is evil in the eyes of the lord verses and to distinguish the difference between good and evil.i also think that mans purpose is to be a gardener for his world,in the beginning Gods gift to adam was the world to provide for and nurture the gift that God created him for. in addition to this i also think that mans purpose is to enjoy all that God is trying to give them and at the same time give God what is due him praises. for everything that has breath should praise the lord.

My favorite quote as a matter of fact-
"Happiness comes only when we push our brains and hearts to the farthest reaches of which we are capable.....The purpose of life is to matter, to count, to stand for something, to have it make some difference that we lived at all." (Leo Roston)

To carry out God's plans and take care of the earth. To marry, provide for his wife, produce offspring, help others etc. Not much of that going on now though.

Man was made to have fellowship with God..............Then Adam sinned in the garden and the fellowship was broken.........Sin breaks fellowship with God..................so God the father sent his son Jesus to die on the cross and pay for the sins of the world so that the fellowship could be restored................and if you now want to go to Jesus and have fellowship you can if you accept him as you Savior and Lord.

I don't think there is any "grand plan" - I think it is left to each of us to find our own purpose.
