I know this is a dumb question.. but I don't want to have to buy a new one if I don't have to.
I was using my hair straightener today.. and I got half of my head done.. when it kind of quit working and I touched it and it was warm but not HOTT. I had all the settings up very high. I was wondering if It is broken or they just do this once in awhile!?

if its a little older sometimes it cools off a little.. but you can wait it out and wait til its hot again.. or go for the new one. this happened to me and i used to just wait it out.. but then i got a new one and i straighten my hair in like less than ten minutes now =] so you dont really have to get a new one, but you can if you want

It's Broken For sure the heating Plates don't last lond depending on how long you use them.

its definitely broken. if you want a good straightener buy a chi. they're 100$ but it will work great and last long!

It is probably broken. It may be the thermostat. I suggest you replace it because it may be too hot next time and fry your hair.

it probably just wore out on ya and died. you should get a new one.
