If I found one I could comprehend, I would respect the people who invented him. No so with the nonsense presently being preached.

I'd rather worship a God that my mind could never fully wrap around. Why? Because if I could fully comprehend God, then 1) God wouldn't be nearly as grand as I had hoped, and 2) I would be at the end of my spiritual journey. Nooo!

I do not worship God. I do not think God wants nor desires my worship. However, I completely prefer the God I could never fully wrap my mind around. I find that experience would be far more interesting.

If you can fully wrap your mind around a god, then it is not much of a god.

It is harder for the human mind to conceive of God as formless and attributeless, so the majority of the people prefer to worship God as having a name and form.

Here is what Amma says about Formless and Form of God:

"Amma: Daughter, name and form are ladders to help us reach the Formless. Those of us who perceive ourselves to be limited cannot conceive the Unlimited. A form is needed to reach the Formless. Another thorn is needed to remove the thorn which has pierced our foot. Once the thorn is removed, both can be discarded. Likewise, after reaching the ultimate goal you can abandon all names and forms if you want."

From the book "Awaken, Children Volume I"

Being that nobody has ever been able to fully comprehend their deity I'm not sure they can know if they would like it or not.

you dont get to pick and chose the god.......there is only one God, the creator, the God from the beginning and the God of the End who is the one true God. God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob who created the Universe

There is only one God. And he is the one we should worship. I don't believe in worshiping any false gods. He is the one who created us and the one who will judge us by what we have done. He is also the one who forgives us when we repent.

Fully comprehend -- but that's exactly why fundamentalism has flourished isn't it -- I should think about that. Thank you.
