It could be bad because people may think you'll like beat them up or something. If I was you, consider it before doing it. People may view you differently. It might be harder for people to accept you in the world. The best you can do is be you. It's cool to like the style, but don't get caught up. Good luck!

Dressing goth is not necessaritly bad for a teen, after all clothes are just clothes. It is the personality of the people the teen is hanging out with that would bemore of a concern. Some people think that if you dress goth you must be evil or satanic or something, and for themost part this is not true. There may be some people out there who are evil, but Satanism and being Goth are not the same thing. I would say if the teen is comfortable, then let them dress how they want as long as it is not violating a dress code, such as at school (guys wearing skirts and stuff like that). Besides alot tof teens go through 3 or 4 different stlyes beofre they find one they like.

I don't think so. I dressed as a goth when I was a teen, about 5-10 years ago. Really into it too, everything except the white face make-up and mascera. It was a way for me to fit in with my group of friends while at the same time thumbing my nose at normal modes of conduct. Almost every teen is a rebel at heart; doing things opposed to the parents while associating with peers is a major part of eventually separating from the parents and becoming an independant, social adult. It just looks antisocial because it's not the society of most.

I dont think dressing goth is really bad for anyone i think it is a way of expressing your own personality and that is a good thing. Personally i think the goth look is cool as long as you are doing it because you want to and not because it is just a trend. I personally go for the punk look always have i like to make my own styles and could care less what anyone thinks of me so go on and be goth if u want too it just makes you who you are and there is nothing wrong with that.

It depends. Some goths have a certain personality along with how they dress. Ex. they do drugs, or are just so dark and hateful, while other people like the style and are the nicest people in the world. You can dress the style, but you have to have a good attitude and be kind to other people, otherwise people might start talking and thinking you're a druggie, and are in satanic cults. So as long as you can show in your actions that you are a good person and you just think the style is appealing, then there's absolutley nothing wrong with that.

When I was in high school I dressed goth all the time, it wasn't extremely gothic, but it got people's attention.. I thought of it as more of a statement than a belief or way of life.. I just didn't want to look like the rest of the preps at my school. I believe that to get a way with dressing goth you have to be able to carry yourself very well, have lots of confidence, and be comfortable.... I know I was, I had people trying to copy me all the time, they couldn't pull it off though.. LOL!!

it can be if u hang out with other goths who are depressed and into drugs. i know being goth doesn't always equal drugs but from what i've seen it does many times.

if u want to dress goth to be unique or different then i think u should make up ur own style cuz being goth is nothing new.

dressing how u want is not bad. goth doesnt have a dress code, thogh the mundane think there is one. black cloths, corsets bondage straps, can be worn by many different subcultures, its just that goth got stuck with the steryotypical black clothing makes u goth ur a satanist, u do drugs, etc. thats the only thing negative u will get out of dressing "goth". but it shouldnt bother u if your are not a steryotypical goth.

It's good and bad. It is a way for a child to express their individuality, but very often goth kids are not being individual, they are more likely trying to emulate someone they look to as cool. It is bad because they could be picked on because they are standing out in what is typically seen in a negative way, which could be a very damaging and/or almost dangerous side effect. Simply put, there are better ways to express individuality.

Being a teen is a time of finding out who you are. Many experiment with different types of clothes etc. Truly, it is about who you are in the inside and the goodness that you share and give to others.
However, there are many people honey, that judge by looks. That is sad but true. Studies have been done and they say that people judge others sixty five percent how they look and only thirty five percent by what they say.
It's your choice because you are a teen and you are learning about yourself as you become an adult.

goth = depression = bad friends and bad things!!!!!

You need to have a heart to heart and find a hobbie for the teen
