No, in fact that had been talked about.
One tower had too much on the roof to allow a helicopter to land. The other had a heli-pad but I think it wasn't serviceable.

Yes, the original fire drills for the WTC did have people in the upper floors going to the roof for rescue from helicopter. That's what they were told to do in that situation

Doubtful, but who knows.
with the smoke, flames and rise of heat, could they even get that close, next were there any there capable of holding or lifting people, also would the police have been there to control the crowd from rushing the helicopter and over loading it ( who would have shot someone to get them off the helicopter so it could lift off)
And many went down of just stayed on thier floor, no real cordination of people knowing what to do
But of course one more life would have been worth it

That is something we will never know.
Would the buildings have collapsed sooner due to the additional weight?
Would the airflow caused by the chopper blades had added to the problem?
We don't have crystal balls, we will never know.
Hey, canctu, look at the age of the buildings, there were meant to withstand a c rash from a jet that was existing at the time, which was what 50 years earlier.
Get your facts right, you have no clue what you are talking about. I am impressed they stayed up as long as they did.

Very few people were aware that the towers' stability was at risk. Most probably figured they'd just have to put out the fires, and maybe bring in some ladders.
Sad times... sigh...

Maybe, but they collapsed remarkably soon after being hit from something they were built to withstand!
