My engagement ring was only $850 and its beautiful and exactly what I wanted. Its got 7 diamonds. One in the middle, then 2 on each side that are side-by-side, then one on each end. Its nothing huge, but I don't like huge rings anyways. Its not about what you spend, its about the meaning behind it. Any girl who thinks otherwise doesn't deserve to get married. And think...one day you can renew your vows and buy her the ring you want to get her when money is better. Thats what we want to do. I want to get him the platnium wedding ring he wants.
Mine is from People's Jeweller's in Ontario, Canada. They also go on sale too so shop around and some places will let you talk them down in price. I had an ex bf who talked a ring down from $1200 to $385 just because there was a 70% off sale on some items. He demanded in on the ring he wanted to get me, then said he wouldn't pay taxes either. They went for it too!

right here my opinion of the engagement ring. Marriage for me is continuously, so why pay hundreds of greenbacks on a hoop which would be replace 5, 10, 2 a protracted time later. My ring value $1500 (regrettably observed the receipt as quickly as we've been given it sized.) Love my ring and would not commerce it in for yet another. properly perhaps in some years for an anniversary modern-day. =P Going with a unpopular shape of the diamond will make it greater least costly. i've got faith a pear shaped is the proper wager. As for sizing, in case you circulate via a jewellery they might desire to do it for unfastened. solid success!

My husband wont tell me the exact price he paid, but it was less than $200 for mine. A friend of mine didn't have an engagement ring at all.
Love isn't based on the money you spend on each other. Its based on what you feel for each other.
The people above me calling you cheap are insensitive and apparently don't know what love is...

There are rings for all sorts of prices. I remember my mom telling me her first wedding ring only cost like $300 in a set that included his & hers wedding and engagement rings....this was like 15 years ago, but you can still find cheaper rings. Money is tight sometimes, and I'm sure that whatever you can afford for her is more than enough. You might want to upgrade her ring later in life when money is more plentiful for you! ;)

Yes, it is possible. My engagement ring and wedding ring came in a bridal set. The set was under $1000 plus I got the lifetime warranty on it. My rings were bought from Kays. But I love my rings and i would never want anything different.

You are really going to need to save as much as you can just to pay off the wedding! Me and my husband were supposed to get married at the end of this year but eloped in Vegas. We are still having the ceremony seeing that our family wasnt around when we got married.
I used to help run a shopping center four years ago (Mall Management) and one of my tenants was Kevins Jewelers who are known for good jewelry at great prices. If you dont have one in your state you can visit www.kevinjewelers.com and do your shopping online. The owner is Kevin Cabral.... good luck

If she loves you then anything will be ok....just let her know that you love her a lot but inform her of where your finances are. She will be ok, don't worry. Shop around, don't just go to the first place you see for rings.....make sure to look more for style. Girls care more about the style, shape, and design than they do about the size of the diamond. Good luck, she loves you....that's all she will care about. She just wants to marry you!!!!

A really nice one will run you at least $1000 these days. It's the love that matters, so you could go with something less. But understand that you get what you pay for.

Sorry, but, no way... If you really love her, then you would wanna choose the most perfect ring ever, even if it cost a lot of money!!!!! So, it would be like you wanting a Xbox 360, but, your girl gets you a Game Boy, or even worse, an Atari.... Now do u see what i mean???
