Religion is a touchy subject. Atheists want to be left alone and christains see it as change to convert the atheist so the war goes on and on. I am a athiest and I respect and belive that all people have a choice and belives. I never push my belives on anyone and would perfer the christains to just respect my belives and leave me alone as well but it never happens. At least a few days a week someone of some other faith and or religion sees me as a chance to save their own souls by converting me into their belives and religion. If I want to change i will go ask and change by myself.(or unless a good woman comes along and changes me.......... ha ha ha).. I dont need a christain to tell me how screwed up I am. I already who and what i am.

Asking questions about things you don't understand is the only way we can really learn. However, that said, when the question is only a statement striking out at those who might disagree with their viewpoint, that's something else.
Those people are only striking out because deep down they are afraid they might be wrong. Of course, someone may have said something or done something to them as well that might have caused them to have a negative viewpoint. But that's true about every group in the world. Teachers, politicians, psychologists, Muslims, Catholics, Mormons, blondes, clowns, women, men, people of different ethnicities or countries, the list goes on and on. The point is, we're all human.
While Christians are to make it a point to be kinder, more understanding, "godly" people, discovering Christians are humans too should not be surprising. Christianity itself is not responsible for wars, death, etc. People have always found something to attack other people over: sexuality, politics, music, their latest fashion sense-you get the idea. We're all human.
And really, you shouldn't be surprised that people are using this forum to attack Christianity, someone famous told us a long time ago to expect it. Just remember, they're not really attacking you-they're attacking what you stand for. And He can protect Himself just fine.

Because so many Christians say mean things to non-Christians. It doesn't make it right - fighting fire with fire never gains anything but a bigger mess. I agree, discourse does not have to be peppered with insults and ignorance. It does nothing but make people angrier and more insulting.
Remember, this is the Internet. Cowards of all religions can hide behind computer screens and spread hate - it's so easy when you don't have to look anyone in the eyes. Intelligent people know you don't have to use hate and anger to get your point across.

I agree.
But you must remember that Christianity has been responsible for more wars, deaths and murders than anything else in the history of Earth. There were the Crusades against the Muslims and Jews (including a Crusade of children to kill Jews), the Inquisition, the Ku Klux Klan etc etc.

Those types of questions will probably end when the christian morality police start having respect for the opinions and beliefs of people of other religions or those that choose not to believe in religion. Instead of calling them heathens, evil, immoral, etc. , try following your doctrine about accepting people that are different than you, and start treating people the way you would want to be treated.

i'm an atheist, and that i'd ought to say that many atheists do no longer confine their vilification to Christians. i became in my opinion dealt with with superb contempt from a sought after team of atheists at the same time as in simple terms coming near them about the existence of the recommendations and rebirth. the problem, i imagine, isn't the secular history, nor the shortcoming of perception in a deity, that is the actual undeniable actuality that maximum atheists are also materialists, some thing that turns them into fairly coarse persons. look, for instance, at human beings like Richard Dawkins and Christopher Hitchens; both one in each of those 2 are cloth atheists, and that is instantly ahead to come back across a spread of unsavoriness about them, also basic to the cloth atheists who attacked me for my questions. assessment those with human beings like Sam Harris, a sought after atheist from an earthly history, yet no longer a materialist; i.e. he's someone who accepts the existence of the recommendations. His demeanor is thoroughly no longer like the above said atheists; he's calm, cool, and picked up, exhibiting not one of the meanness basic to the others. This, I characteristic to his own open-minded nature, and the sensitivity to human beings's emotions that comes therefrom. in simple terms my 2 cents.

for the past 30 years... non christians have had a agree to disagree approach to the subject of religion....
Christians how ever spend their time bashing non christians... since their inception. The will of GOD made the non religious strong and insightful. Mother Nature who inspired and was inspired by the hippie movement has made her judgment. God "Creator" saw through her eyes the details of the world and what was damaging his ability to interact and communicate with humanity.... Christianity.... it's karmic.... what goes around comes around...

This is what myself as well as a few other believers has been asking all along!.....The ones that are asking & answering religious/spiritual questions are really judging, mocking, condemning, harrassing and being very disrespectful to the believers and the GOD we serve!........I'm glad others are beginning to notice that the only reason that non-belivers, atheists, agnostics GOD Haters come on this site is to be "RUDE".........Thanks!

You got to take all that with a grain of salt. Meaning put up with all that "noise" and go ahead and enjoy life now. Live your life as a Christian and don't worry what some other person is saying.
