I think science has proved conclusively that God could not possibly exist. Except in the wildest and most insane imaginations of men.

Science is a hoot, aint it? Then again, so is religion. So, to answer your question... The vast majority of the "scientific community" would argue that God does not exist. Um, then again that same "community" said not too awful long ago that the sound barrier would never be broken, or that man would never travel in space, or that a human couldn't run a four minute mile... Scientific "facts" tend to change a great deal.
I honestly believe that both sides of the whole "Science vs. God" argument are populated by people who are utterly insecure with themselves. On one side you have the science advocates, who argue vehemently against the existence of God because they cannot abide the thought of something greater than themselves. On the other side are those who feel insignificant and vunerable in this vast universe and seek the guidance and protection of that very same thing.
Bottom line: The answer is not hidden...if you REALLY want to know it.

Your trying to find answers to what is right in front of you. All the ancient stories have been written to sound mystical even though they are not. Having cities that have been destroyed by fire and brimstone because they sinned. When in fact they lived on huge fault lines and they experienced an large earthquake. That after the fact shot out Methane gas that is highly volatile. That cause the fire and destruction not God.
In 1906 San Francisco almost burned to the ground because of a huge earthquake and the gas burned almost the entire city. Look at historical documents.
God was the answer for when you didn't know what was going on. In this day and age your not going to get angry at Neptune for flooding your beach house. The names are different but the concepts are all the same.

I think you are absolutely right & bring up an excellent point. The scientific knowledge humans have acquired over the centuries is usually at odds with religion & the existence of God. However, like you, I believe that we are looking at this from the wrong perspective. I believe that nature & the observations of nature & the science which stems from these observations are another source of proof of the existence of God. Look at nature & then try to deny the existence of the Divine. It's not in the Bible-that was created by man. "God" is everywhere-science, nature, etc... (I put in " " because we humans could never name or describe or rationalize God) Humans (myself excluded) look to something concrete, like the Bible, for God. They ignore what is around them, existing on earth. I'd rather believe in something I can see, touch & experience rather than an outdated book.

God is the source of reason and science and had revealed himself sufficiently in this. The bible tells us in Romans 1:19-20 and in Psalms 19:1-4 that the invisible nature of God,his eternal power and deity are seen in the things he had created. The heavens ie the stars, the galaxies and the universe proclaim his glory. God's wisdom and power is clearly seen in the things he had created. Just look around you! See how everything is wonderfully and beautifully designed and made. Don't you see the designer in the design? Do the 'creation' not point to the creator? Look at the harmony in creation. Most scientist saw God (Isaak Newton etc) through science and honoured him as their savior and GOD.

I'm sure that God cannot be proven by science. For believers, it is apparent that His existance precedes our existance. If it could be proven, that would force people to believe, and that would take all power from belief. Faith is knowing without having proof. The second it is proved to you, the possibility for faith is destroyed, and with it, the possibility of all meaning in action.
You can try to prove or disprove it, and you'll only be frustrated in your inability, as a mere mortal, to count or discount something entirely more meaningful that you will ever be.
God should be worshipped in humility and with faith.

No, I don't think God has been scientifically proven. It's a matter of "taking it on faith". As for the stories in the bible, I believe that some of them are historically based but not necessarily true, detail for detail. In reading the bible, I think it's more important to understand and live the spirit of the word than to take it literally.

I'm no scientist, but I am a christian. Do you honestly believe that our position in the solar system itself is luck or coincidence or scientific for that matter? Tilt the earth more or less than its' 23 degrees and we would not know life as it is. Move the earth plus or minus 250,000 miles relative to it's position with the sun and wham we're not here anymore. God positioned every planet, star, & moon in the universe.
If you die and are sealed in concrete does your energy stop?

Science has never proven that God does not exist and it never will.
But, if you truly are christian, why the question? As a christian, you either believe or not. Faith! That's what you need!
It matters not how many answers you get, it is up to you to decide what matters to you and stick with it.

I like studying fractals. There is too much scientifically organized beauty in this world to deny the existence of God. Sorry I can't give you proof like the water Jesus turned into wine - I think everyone drank it. If He could do that, it is not such a big stretch to imagine Him walking on the water. You will have to study and pray on your own. I would say, that we are children of light and intelligence. Have a happy day.
