Well, i am a swimmer, and i would have to say, i have seen alot of guys get their six packs through it, its may be a bit tougher than only eating right and sit ups, but it is faster. For faster results you could do swimming(but make sure you are doing all the strokes and doing them properly) and do your 100 or how many ever sit ups you want and eating right. Maybe you would even get an 8 pack.

Run, eat right, and do sit up, and push ups. You will have a 6 pack in about 6 months

Try www.absdiet.com. I bought the book "Get Fit Stay Fit" by David Zinczenko and found it wonderful resource for exercises that can be done at home. I would definitely recommend this book, especially for anyone wanting good abs!!!!!!
I think doing ab exercises, without swimming, would help you accomplish your goals....the only suggestion I would have is to do varied ab exercises....your body will become accustom to doing just sit ups, and you will not see benefits after a while.

Six pack. You must mean that you want to strengthen your abdominal muscles? How about one of the other six million ways there are to strengthen those muscles? Ab crunches is one example. Do a Google search and you'll find 5,999,999 others.

There is no way to "spot reduce" you cannot take fat off of 1 part of your body only...The only way to lose fat is all over at once.
Cardio cardio cardio, running , jogging at least 30 min per day at least 3 days per week. If you can up to 3-5 miles per day it will go
you can stop producing belly fat by cutting out sugar, anything white( potatoes, rice, bread) and beer is a kiiler.

u have to do a lot of cardio to shed the fat on top of your muscles in order for them to show. you can do 300 sit ups and still u wont see the muscle if its covered by fat.

It's possible, It all depends on your calorie intake in relation to burnoff. If your consuming more callories than burning off then I doubt you'll lose that tiny layer of fat on top of your muscles.
