If it were fast and easy, everyone would be gorgeous and healthy. ;) If there was a pill you could buy that worked, Oprah and everyone else would be taking it.

However, there are some certainly manageable ways to drop weight fast. In a previous question, I mentioned detoxing, which encompasses everything from a healthy sleep schedule, moderate exercise, organic when possible, to herbs and seasonings, healthy fats, liquids, hormone stabilization, good bacteria, healthy pH, etc. I’m able to lose an average of 10 pounds per month, with usually the first 7-10 days on the Phase I an avg. of a pound a day. (Which much is water and salt weight, but when you decrease the amount of toxins and water and salts your fat cells store, they decrease in size as well.) Otherwise, crash diets and other things that burn fat too quickly without expediting the toxins away, result in releasing too many toxins into your system at once, and in organ damage and illness.

To lose weight the fastest, you have to be committed, and prepared to spend some money on produce and vegetables, some vitamins/supplements, and some time washing/preparing good food for almost every meal – as well taking the time to eat every few hours, carrying liquids and snacks with you, moderate exercise daily to move out toxins, and to get adequate sleep. And then be prepared to feel a little out of it for the first few days. The end result is usually very fast progress, an almost immediate change in appearance (usually in the face first), healthy glowing skin, more energy and a happier system all around.

There’s several different ones to choose from, 11-day, 14-day and so on. It also depends on how much weight you have to lose, the less, the longer it takes, as I’m sure you know. Best wishes to you!

I found the book to be very informative and easy to read.

I've lost 17 pounds in 12 days, I'm just concerned that I'm losing too much weight, too quickly. I will admit I haven't followed the guide exactly. I'm not sticking perfectly to the listed foods and meal plans (but mostly) and doing very little exercise, but the weight keeps flying off.

It clearly works and if I'd followed it exactly I think it would scare the living daylights out of me because of the amount that I'd lose. So thanks again for the information. I've never purchased anything like this before because they are usually full of trash, but 3WD has been a pleasant surprise.

Be your own trainer and nutritionist, the basic rules to losing weight are no soda, no fast food, lots of chicken, fish, fresh (not canned that’s bad) fruits and vegies, whole wheat stuff, yogurt. Not so many cakes and donuts and cookies. Basic common sense for eating, you just need to enforce it. Get all the bad stuff out of the house right away, just toss it or give it away while your still motivated. No alcohol and no smoking if that applies. Lots of water, 3-4 liters a day, not all at once, but spread it out. Its really easy to down a liter or two while your watching tv or on the computer. Also drink some after you eat the bigger meals of the day, it helps your body pick out the nutrients in food when your food is more spread apart. Don’t think that sports drinks can replace water, the only time you need to drink them right after a workout, besides that just stick with water. These rules may be hard to adapt to at first so start with cutting out the things you know you can live without. Then work from there. Remember these are perfect eating habits, it can take you a while to work into it. If you know you can’t live without your one treat a day, don’t fight it by trying to eat something else, just eat it and make sure that’s the only one you cheat on a day. Otherwise you’ll get depressed and quit. Another important point is getting the right amount of sleep every night. You need 8-9 hours of sleep each night for your body to function correctly. This is an important factor of losing weight. Set up a routine for yourself and go to bed at about the same time each night.
As for exercise, lots of cardio. Find something you like. If you have never exercised much before, start with walking 30 minutes a day at a brisk pace. Move on to different terrains that include hills and increase the time spent. After a week or two, try jogging the route. No matter what find an activity you enjoy. Walking to jogging is just an example, try hiking, rollerblading, biking. Once you get into a regular routine, if your not happy with the level of difficulty, try signing up with a gym. Spinning, pilates or kickboxing classes are great. It will also introduce you to working with weights. Talk to a trainer for instruction before using any weights. A cheap investment is a balance ball, it works you stomach while your just sitting on it, like at your computer and its great for posture. There are hundreds of exercises you can use it for for your entire body. I can give you some ideas if you want, just email me. Krista is WRONG: "Lots of water, 3-4 liters a day, not all at once, but spread it out. Its really easy to down a liter or two while your watching tv or on the computer. Also drink some after you eat the bigger meals of the day, it helps your body pick out the nutrients in food when your food is more spread apart. "

There's NO evidence that drinking that much water is helpful. You only need to drink when you're thirsty -- you get most of your water from the food you eat! Plus, the idea that "it helps your body pick out the nutrients" is just NUTS. Absolutely No basis for this idiotic statement. Just not true. Your body can get its nutrients just fine without a lot of water.

"Don’t think that sports drinks can replace water, the only time you need to drink them right after a workout, besides that just stick with water. "
Sports drinks are fine during AND after a workout. Otherwise, they're not necessary, but they're not harmful either.

easiest thing I did to lose weight was to drink only water instead of juices/soda/beer/etc for a month.
it's an easy way to cut a couple of hundred calories out of your diet without starving yourself.

For example - a 16 ounce bottle of coca cola contains around 200 calories.
On a hot day, I could go through 3 or 4 of them.
that's 600 to 800 calories a day - just drinking coca cola.
switching to water only quenches my thirst and let's me cut a lot of calories without suffering too much.

Get yourself a brita pitcher and get rid of the high calorie drinks.
