Its been happening a few times a day for a month now. I don't hear the buzzing - it is just the sensation I feel. It doens' hurt, but it is bizarre and a little annoying. Anyone know what this is?

It is not tinnitus. TInnitus is described as any sound (usually ringing or buzzing) that you HEAR in your ear. If you are FEELING a sensation then it is not tinnitus.

My two thoughts are:
It could be a muscle spasm. The stapedius muscle contracts in response to loud sounds to protect your hearing. If you have been exposed to a loud environment (anything as loud as a lawnmower can cause hearing loss) then it could be having spasms from abuse. Usually this would occur in both ears, unless there was an acoustic trauma to just the right ear. The key here is to always protect your hearing by wearing hearing protection.

The eustachian tube could just be popping. Some people can actually feel this (I can actually feel mine when it pops). Do you have allergies or sinus problems? Allergies are high right now, so that could be a cause.

My advice is to see an otologist or otolaryngologist (commonly known as an ear, nose, and throat specialist/ ENT). If you have never had a hearing evaluation that would be very important. What concerns me is that you have it only in the right ear. Best to have a doc check it out to make sure nothing serious is going on.

Your ears are ringing. Have you been listening to music too loudly lately? Perhaps your ear drums were exposed to something really loud. And no, you don't have a brain tumor. Whoever gave that answer is unrational.

see a doctor immediately!!!! it could be anything from a brain tumor to the first signs of a stroke, or herald to hearing loss. see a doctor.

if you are hearing things, maybe its an ear problem, but when you feel it, it could be worse. dont take this lightly
