Yes, it can be stored unplugged. You must remove the door to prevent anyone from being trapped inside and suffocating. You also prevent some very gross mold from growing inside!

Yes, it can. In fact it is best to do so because that way you wouldn't have any fungii building up inside plus no child would be locked inside.

yeah as long as it's empty, and it's safest way to store or throw away. No little ones playing hide&seek getting trapped.
