Perfect question. Happened to me. Some jealous girl stuck her foot out as I walked by. I tripped, but didn't fall to the floor. I turned to her and asked, "Shall I step back? I can repeat this and you can stick your foot out again and this time I'll make sure I fall, since a good laugh is what you must be after". She was totally embarrassed and said, "I'm sorry". "That was rude of me". I never expected her to say that - but the point was clearly made. We have been best friends for 25 years!

That is very rude and a blantant attack as well as a social blunder.
