Hello dear!
I think not!
We learn just living! Our senses get messages and thus knowledge come! When we talk about learning process is the actions of implanting knowledge with means different than our senses, either by reading or hearing about those new things. The brain gets tires, since it should work on levels different than it is built for! Thus, we do not get lazier, but our brain gets tired!

Some are and some aren't. It's more difficult because there is so much information coming at you and you have to sort it out. Some people prefer to focus on certain topics and then they are considered stupid or lazy if they don't know other topics. I personally avoid literature at all costs because I find it extremely boring. On the other hand I spend a lot of time learning about science and mathematics because I find those more interesting. (This is personal learning after college).

Lazier than say dolphins or slugs do you mean? Or lazier than they used to be? People are all different and go through different phases in their lives with regard to learning.
