What kind of straighter is best. One that is ceramic, that doens't mess your hair. And leaves your hair really straight, i have bought two but both don't seem to work.

A ceramic straightener is the best. Mine was about $150.00. The reason why I'm answer though is to let everyone know that you need to turn your straightener WAY up. I have been straightening my hair for years and it was never as straight as the hair styist could get it. Finally, although my straightener was at 300 degrees, we figured out that it wasnt hot enough. Now it's on 450 degrees and I can get my hair as straight as my stylist can. The secret is to make sure you use a DeFrizzer when hair is wet and use a protecting straight while straightener. Spray it on each section right before you iron it. Don't worry if it is steaming a little. That's what the spray it for. The heat activates the spray to work better and is just burning some of it off.

CHI can be found at Sally's or any local beauty store that supplies to hairstylists...You know, the places where the professionals can go in and buy their equipment as well as regular consumers. My sister is a stylist and she swears by the CHI. I've seen it's wonders...great product!

I definitely recommend a Chi...if not than a Hai...they are pretty much the same thing! You can get them both at a beauty supply store or big department stores like JCPenny, Macys....

I listen to hairdresser...a ceramic flat iron. Big Mistake didn't work on my hair...I have thick coarse curly hair. My fav is Helen of Troy gold series flat iron. Can be purchased at Sally Beauty Supply. Has levels 1-10 to custom to your hair type.
