that right after the May 1st., illegal demonstrations, that the Hispanics have created a violent backlash? Most uf us were content to leave them alone, until they bragged about taking over the country, claiming it is theirs.
I am seeing in the news, reading on the internet and hearing radio talk shows, on the subject of denouncing the illegals. They seem to have awakened anger in an otherwise tolerant nation. In the end, they may have created a tempest in a tea pot for themselves.
MY ancestors were Native American, so don't preach tolerance to me. My ancestors greeted most of yours.

You say that the Asians were here 35,000 years ago. What does that have to do with modern society? Why didn't they stay around? Where are their descendants? Not being argumnentitive; just curious.

I have never understood the gall of some immigrants. Rather than be grateful to their host country, they make all sorts of demands, even though they are guests, not citizens.
Recently, the government of the Netherlands has been requiring potential immigrants to view a video on life in their country. It shows the whole gamut of life in cities like Amsterdam where you will see same-sex kissing, drug use, women in skimpy outfits, etc. Muslim immigrants, many of whom are there illegally, having overstayed their visas, were making outrageous demands on the Netherlands government. They were insisting that society conform to Muslim standards!
That would be like Mustafah barging into your house unannounced, making a bee line in his muddy shoes directly to the sofa, changing the tv channel you were watching, yelling rudely for the lady of the house to bring him something to drink, along with demands for some exotic vegan food, and topping it all off by demanding that the lady encase herself in a head to toe burka because the sight of her naked ankle is an abomination to Allah.

The media is the opinions of the editor, the broadcasters, the owners, etc. It doesn't reflect the entire populations' reactions to the country-wide demonstrations of of the Hispanic people. America loves to have an enemy to rant against. In the Cold War, it was the Russians. In the 80's, it was the Iranians. Now it's the Iraqis and the Hispanics who are being drummed up as taking all the jobs away from us. Next year, it'll be another ethnic group and a different one the year after. How about finding what unites us rather divided?

There are reasons for this. If you want to make it about tolerance, we will not tolerate the border of Mexico moving north.
When your ancestors were here, they didn't like what happend to them in the mass immigration if you will, so we don't either.
Now, of course if you want to talk about ancestors, we'll have to give Canada, America, and Mexico back to Asia. They had a 35,000 year head start.
You are lucky where you are. Where I am, there is no news about it or very little to nothing in the newspaper.
Why is it that Mexico has the sovereign right not to give it's country back to people that were there before them that live in their country, and why don't they show how sorry they are for exterminating the Aztechs?
OK, there is more here than what you know is going on. If you want endless links and have a few months free to study them, I really would be very happy to send them to you via regular email - answers doesn't allow me to send that much.
Put it together: No, you haven't put it together yet, keep researching. Wow you are so out of touch!

As far as the whole subject as the illegals I would say personally anyone questioning why they come over here needs to walk a mile in their shoes. It's the government in Mexico that is messed up when they work a full week for around $40.00 how are they suppost to support their families on that. Yet if they where to cross the ocean in a boat and get to shore from Cuba they are allowed to be here. Where is it far for Cubians to get to remain for the Mexicans of Mexico to only be turned back to go home. Did you know that even when they come over with a green card there are long waiting periods and it costs them about $900 per person. Just imagine how long that would take to try and save when you are supporting your family on only $40 a week! I don't really think that they are claiming the United States as "their" country but "our" country with them included. I feel it should be made easier for them to come legal and perhaps all the fuss would stop. My son has a friend who has a green card to be here legal and we were talking to him about what he thinks and he said just for his green card he has to pay $900 every five years, and yet he has been here sense he was a child. This whole country is made up of people whos ansesters all came from other places, where they made to go back, or told they had to pay to be here. This country is suppose to be the land of the free, yet look at what we did to the Native Americans and now what is taking place with our Mexican neihbors trying to choose a better life. The whole world is pretty much down on the United States, perhaps to some degree it's time to stop and ask ourselves why.

The flag (of Mexico) waiving and connections to the far left killed them in their efforts after the the protest. And these folks aren't so stupid to ignore that either. They got the Senate and Bush to go their way (amnesty) and if wasn't for the house it would have passed. They had to keep quiet for it to have a chance, for if they kept it up the massive public outcry was against them. That is what kept the house in check.
They will likely win this battle after the election unless the masses rally against them.

The biggest complaint everyone in America should have is that the illegals use our health care facilities without paying for them. If enough of them use our hospitals, those hospitals go bankrupt, and who suffers? Not the migratory illegal, its those who own property or have invested in the area by working legally.

Give us your tired, your poor, your huddled masses..........
well, you know what, thats what this country was founded on..HOWEVER, do it legally! I, like most Americans, would be okay with people coming into this country who played by the rules.
Why should we have to support those who don't?
I am proud of America; I am proud to call it home! I don't want it turned into an open door mission!

Yep. They sure didn't endear themselves to me. I was on their side until they took their day off. It was very unwise for the Latino leaders to plan that day. It certainly didn't help as far as I can tell. People are pissed.
