There are a lot of things that you can do, stair climbers, treadmill with an incline, or eliptical machines. Eliptical are great because they are low impact but they work most of the lower body and they help with cardio, which will help you tone your whole body. However, if your looking for more shape a little light lifting (leg press, squats) will help with that. With the lifting I'm not talking monster weight, I mean light weights and lots of reps (3 or 4 sets of 15-20 reps). If you're not going to a gym then I'd say walk up and down stairs and work up to skipping a stair or two.

Leg lifts from a sitting position, stair walking, scissor lift (lay on your side, keep upper leg straight and lift as far as you can and then bring it down, repeat), knee bends so, check out what you can find by typing "leg excercises" in your search engine. Best of luck.

Squats, donkey kicks, snap kicks, stepper machines, walking, stair climbing, step toe taps[stand on a step on balls of feet, drop one foot behind you to the next lower step bending other leg, press and lift up to end with both feet on step, alternate legs.]

there is a machine at my gym called a cross trainer i think...it helps a lot for those areas
running also would help
visit your local gym and ask the specialist if there are any specific machines there that will help do that...afterall they are there to have people ask them these sort of questions

Leg lifts work well for me. I do about 50 on each leg a day, going sideways up and down. laying on the floor and squeezing your butt cheeks together work to get that extra bubble on each cheek off. go up and down, squeezing while going up and releasing while coming down.
