I'm 31 and single....?

Question

I broke it off with my son's father almost 5 years ago and I've been single since. I gave up on men for a long time. Now I'd like to start dating again but to be honest, I'm terrified. How do you meet nice guys these days? Where do you go? I never drink, so bars are out. Any suggestions?

When you're out at the grocery or out with your son, SMILE. That will attract people who will say hello and give you a chance to practice casual conversation.

Let your friends know that you're interested in dating, and ask a couple of them to think about men they know who might be compatible with you. Perhaps they could fix you up with someone and double date with you on a first date. Even if it doesn't work out with that particular man in the long run, this will give you a chance to get back into the dating scene in a comfortable situation since you'd have your friend there.

I have gone out on several dates with women I met online, met at school, and even people I work with (don't recommend that last one). The point is that you never know where you will meet the right person. From your photo you seem very attractive, be patient, keep an open mind, eyes wide open, and did I mention be patient?

well, I am a 19 yr old male, and the same can be said, I do drink, but the women you meet at bars are not relationship quality most of the time, Society says I should be out looking for a quick piece of ***, but most women my age bore me, they are immature and think with their clitoris. alcohol flows through their veins, and conversation is as dry as the gin in their cups.

And how do you meet someone anywhere else? you are deemed a "stalker" or a "pervert" if you even try to talk to a woman in a public area, unless of course you have movie-star looks. then its perfectly fine.

Look at what your personal interests are. Find places where theose interests are commonly explored. As an example, I love books and reading, I met my husband hanging out at Barnes & Noble. Explore your hobbies/interests, find clubs or groups that meet to share them. It's always a good idea to start out with something in common. And in this way you don't get the bar dregs.

You can try one of the on-line dating services - and from there you could learn a little about these guys by how they present themselves, and go from there. But, always meet for the first time in a very public place - and take it slowly until you really get to know them.

I have no idea, where are all the nice girls? I've been single for years no dates, nothing! now I realize I'm better off alone because people suck & just want to use you for one reason or another. Stay single!

it seems like when your not really looking is when the good ones come along. Just hang in there keep being yourself and an attractive woman like yourself will have no problems finding dates
